New ID batteries with older battery connectors

hello, I have an older model rusterl VXL (not sure if it has TSM, but doubt it) and I need new batteries, but I cannot get any with the plug style I have, help!

If I'm not mistaken, the ID plug is compatible with the older traxxas plug. I know the ID plug on my e-revo works with standard traxxas plugs and that the standard traxxas plug on my packs fit the ez-peak plus dual with the ID receptacle on it.

To plug the ID type plug into your charger, they make an adapter that changes it over to the older traxxas plug with a balancing plug if needed.

Battery Traxxas ID connectors are compatible with the non ID plug on older models.

Charging of NiMH with ID connectors on a charger with non ID connector also is not a problem and does not require the adapter which is specifically meant for charging ID LiPo batteries on non ID chargers since ID LiPo batts do not have a regular balance plug

Sorry, I forgot to mention that only the lipo's need the adapter to charge.

i just got a rustler vxl and when i plug the charger in it just blinks red it never blinks green i think the battery is dead cuz it only runs for like 2 min then dies. someone help please!!
