storage charge a fully charged battery?

I have a fully charged battery which I don't intend to use any time soon. If I plug it in the charger and select store, will it discharge it to the proper voltage? Charger is the ez peak.

Yup. May take a little while. My EZ Peak is slow at discharging.

You're talking about a lipo, right?

It will take longer to storage charge than running it in your RC.

I need to check the voltage somehow to gauge how long I need to run it to bring it down to 3.8v

Pick up a voltage checker. They're cheap. You can leave it plugged in while you drive.
