MAN, Use Common Sense.
Outside? THERE IS NO BOX !
I think I gotta go change my shorts. I haven't been this thrilled over a traxxas product since the summit first got announced.
Cable actuators for the diffs, 2 speed, waterproof , lights. And its simply looks SCALE.
SOLID AXLES - portal ???? For additional ground clearance.
I thought traxxas would NEVER go there.
I have an LR3 body that has been waiting 4 years for this chassis.

LOVE it!!! Way to go Traxxas! this will surely be replacing my tamiya hi-lift based scale truck. to me this is way bigger news than the 4tec 2.0 lol.
and those portal axlesholy smokes. how will the axial guys make fun of traxxas now?

Bring it on Traxxas. Been waiting for this a long time.
Ok I've been studying the pictures for awhile now; I really like what I see. Metal 4 links, confirmed locking front and rear diffs, high low transmission, etc. I HAVE TO HAVE ONE! I don't want to wait, when will this be released!?!
I'm already scheming about what I'll do when I get one..![]()

Wish they had a photo of it by something well known like a revo just to see it's size. Looks fun!

Well, I know my next purchase. Going to hold off on axial for this.
I wonder if it will be as capable as the summit. it has a short wheel base and looks top heavy. I hope it does not flip to much.
SLAM!

Yeaaa!... There'll finally be a forum for a dedicated Traxxas scale truck! I also had doubts that Traxxas would enter the scaler scene, so this is really exciting news. This just might make 2017 a very memorable year in the hobby! I'm going to watch out for the release, which I'm sure will be in time for the coming season.
It's not going to be in the same class as the Summit, but will be more in league with an SCX10 II or Vaterra Ascender. The wheelbase will probably be somewhere around 12-13", which is considered a long wheelbase for a 1/10 scale 4x4 truck. Depending on how much weight Traxxas puts in the chassis, it won't be too top heavy, since the body looks to be polycarbonate. However, the additional roll cage could add extra weight, but not much, especially if it's plastic. Most scalers find ways to gain a lower CoG, anyway. I've always employed the addition of weighted beadlocks, which help keep a rig planted, and since I mostly go along at hiking speed, there's little extra stress on the drivetrain.
True 1/10 scale. Looks to have the wheel base close to the slash. For sale by the summer? 4-5 months. My son loved pointing out the fact that the guy took photographs of the "NO PHOTOGRAPHY " sign.
Did anyone catch that sports car in the corner? Looks like a mini XO-1 with a Ferrari lid.

THANK YOU TRAXXAS! I love all these new vehicles being released! (although my wallet has now gone into hiding)
"Gone racing"
Man, Traxxas is going to put some hurt on my pocket book this year. First the 4-Tec GT, now this...
Tomorrow I am letting my boss know that for the next six months, overtime is not an option...
Submarine Qualified, Chief Inducted, Navy Retired
Ok I want one too. Problem is I've already spent my budget for my summit and other rc trucks. Guess I could work some ot for extra $$$, I do need to sleep, stocking up on lots of mountain dews and giving up sleep. Sleeps over rated right?
If it's any thing like the summit, it's not that tuff. My buddy would have that thing destroyed within an hour. I like the idea of the diff that's about it
I think Mr.President should congratulate Traxxas for stimulating the economy!
All these Traxxas fans, crawler fans, scaler fans going to be working overtime to purchase new toys🤔😉
Every crash/ broken story: This one time...
If it's worth sharing, I talked to a gentlman at Traxxas and he confired that's it's real, and everyone is super excited for it come out; which he said is expected to be sometime in spring before summer.
Can't wait!![]()

Thats great can't wait to get one. Wonder if this is just the beginning of the scaler market for traxxas. Im really considering giving up sleep and work ot at my first job for one. Depending on price of this new scale truck two or three days of ot is all I need. Plus I need to add this to my collection so I can have more rc's than my friends do.
Oh buddy...... I can't wait to get one.
Spring, you mean its coming, I'm sick of the snow, dying to get out in the dirt and rocks with my summit. Wonder if the lhs takes trade in for kids for this new scale truck. Maybe the lhs could let me borrow one for a weekend.
Mine let me borrow an Axial Wraith.![]()

The really need to hurry up on tis one because i been looking into the axial scx10ii really hard. Maybe i will end up with both so i can do some real comparing to see how bad traxxas kicks axials butt! Lol
One thing i can not see in the pics is if the steering servo is on the axle or on the chassis. I really hope its cassis mounted.
If it still moves, it aint broke enough!
