Generally speaking a battery that has a low cell like yours would not recover. Unplugging the battery from the charger like you did in the 4th charge video leads me to believe the charger may be the issue. With all of the fancy firmware there could be a glitch. I have a stock vxl8s that detected a dropped cell on one of my 3s batteries and put it into limp mode and lit the voltage alarm. I would think yours would have alerted for sure if voltage was a problem. I have a bunch of the cheap voltage checkers and keep one in the pocket and stop and check voltage periodically while running. They are not always 100% accurate but darn close. They help out quite a bit to keep an eye on your batteries.

me and crazyxmaxx added a small hill climb and downhill speed section to the foxtail track. the first part is a dirt oval, with a jump and hill climb that's optional.

last weekend at the track my front wheel came loose and I thought I had a draintain problem, so we took apart the rear diff and gave it an inspection.

after looking it looks fine, no wear, but you can see the drive cups do show moderate wear already.













cleaned and put 500k in the rear diff, and put it all back together.

Flip your drive cups to get more life out of them. The little divots the axle puts in them will typically be in the forward position. If you switch them (left on the right, right on the left) then in forward you will be pushing against the flat side of the cup. Then when reversing the axle will push into the divots.

Hey Buddy....you have been pretty tight lipped on those proline tires. What are your performance thoughts against the v2 tires? From your video looked like they struggled a little on the loose stuff on the side hill. Hoping to get mine out this weekend.

I need more time before I do an actual review. I only done 1 WOT run down the street, and it was pretty controllable, but kinda slow as I'm stock geared still, so even on 8s I'm under 40mph.

Jay before I say anything positive or negative that might influence anothers purchase, I need to give the item a fair use first, is all.

Odark, they were just released so people need time to use em.


I like them, by the silly sound they make on pavement (I might wear them out quick) and the looks. but I've only been an x-maxx owner for like 3 months or so now. so I don't even have much experience with the stock v2 tires yet.

I haven't noticed much difference, coming from a stock x-maxx and being a light to moderate basher.

my wheelies are a bit lower. it drifts smoother on pavement. I need to go and drive my truck at all the different places I have already drove it... to get the comparisons.

I never found a thing I couldn't climb with v2 stock tires... so when I can climb all the same things with the pro-line tires. its hard to compare.

If there were hills I couldn't get up, unless I had said tire, it would be easier. lol


they are as good as stock, I don't see them ballooning too much.

yeah I have a hopping issue. but our track is really bumpy. I have a lot of preload on the front suspension from carrying weights and non on the rear... I should adjust my settings a bit.

spent 3 hours trying to charge one of my 6700's it says one cell is at 4.9volts. and the rest at 3.8, errors out as soon as I put it on the charger now. The plug might be bad, because it has a hard time even plugging into the charger. half the time I connect it, the charger reads it as a legacy lipo, with 1.3v per cell, both of my live chargers are doing this with this battery.

the battery with the bad cell from last hiccup, charged up just fine lol

so my truck is out of commission, until I get another 4s lipo. one of my 3s lipos bit the dust as well, last time I ran them in the maxx.

oh well for today.

I put the bad battery in one of my 4s cars and drove it for a few minutes in front of the house, I turned it off, put it on the charger and the all the cells were closer together, tried charging it, and it worked. it charged all the way.

I've always wanted a indy car, but never got around to getting a one. well this morning at the swapmeet, I found a indy car... I thought I would start off in the 1/12th scale or 1/10th scale... you know small....



only 20$ and had a 550 can motor already installed lol.

could install a servo where the steering wheel is, and just make it run like that...

but I like the Indy-Maxx idea... my house is filling up with these dang toys that need conversions... couldn't pass it up for 20$

messing around with a vintage 5t body, cut out fenders to match the maxx.

painted it, mounted it to the max using 1 2wd slash rear bumper(mounted to rear body mount), a 4x4 slash rear bumper(mounted to front body mount), 2 pro-line mounts(one revo one slash) (mounted to the bumpers) and the pro-line posts, grubs, and thumb screws.

its not the best best setup, but its tempory just to see how the truck handles with this body on it.

bordem kills! video on this tomorrow, will bring the cutters with me, to trim the body as need be.
