    Latrax Boat LTX-30

    Hey Guys,

I would have never imagined that I could find this locally for $40:

Looks like it's in decent shape, seller says it's not working, but probably it's an easy fix.

    Hope you like it...

    Daniel.

Thanks! I'll pick it up on Saturday, looking forward to see what's inside, and what needs to be fixed.

Probably, I hope there's a sticker on the remote that can confirm that.

Hey bud, How you been? Long time no talk. Hope all is well.
Nice little find there. She came out 1979-1980 as I remember having one when I was around 9-10.

The bigger boat was the LTX-31 was around 30" long and came with the full size steering wheel remote. Thats the one I wanted when I was a kid, But I think they were like double the price.

My previous sig conflicted with a forum policy.

Hey Daniel[and Dave too!] Its been a serious long time!

I was having some serious issues getting logged in early last year and kinda got peeved and gave up for a while. I don't have a clue what the problem was, but I'm still getting security grief from Windows 7 about this site but at least I can finally log in again.

I was completely un-aware that Traxxas had anything to do with boats before their current boat models so I'm curious about this one. Is it actually hobby grade? And being a total land-lubber, what kind of speed is 25 mph on water?

Mine isn't working, batteries are dead and some pieces from the TX are missing. I'll keep this one as it is because the hull is mint, but, I have another white one which needs a lot of care and I'm planning to repair the cracks and paint it white. I was looking for a waterproof brushed combo, and I have two options from the 1/16 Traxxas cars or from the 1/18 Latrax cars. I don't want to go brushless because I think it won't hold. I also need a propeller, I think the one from the Blast will do.

@Traxxas, can we have a vintage LaTrax forum under the LaTrax area? Pleaseee.

I used to keep a NIB LTX-30 on my desk that I found at an estate sale. Mike Jenkins walked by soon after I got it and it stopped him in his tracks. He paused and said, "I remember that!." My rarest find is the LaTrax tractor trailer combo and I have a couple different Alpha body styles.

Nice! Can you "escalate" my request about having a vintage LaTrax area? I want to show my big collection sooner or later. And, if you want to sell any vintage LaTrax, PM me!

    Hey Danilehr77,

I purchased an LTX-30 several years ago at a tag sale. Finally have sometime to play around with it.

My only problem is... I never got a charger with it
If anyone has an idea what voltage charger it takes, please let me know.

    Thank you.

Posting a picture or two may help, particularly of the battery. That said, the original battery is almost certainly shot given its age.
