We run Sorrca rules, so it should fit right in at class 2. But not 100% sure till I see it in person.

    My thoughts.
I suspect it will be close, but you never know. What about the lockable diffs ?

On another video... no crawler action unfortunately but it does illustrate both hi and low gear speeds, locked diffs etc.

Locking diffs are legal. Just no rear steer or dig.

So excluding tire size the rest of the truck is perfectly legal in Sorrca events for class 2. Now just need to know tire size lol

Cool. Little crawling, nice and slow.

Two speed transmission.... This thing is going to be awesome for trails!!

    Interesting videos, thanks for sharing!!!

If I were a betting man, I would say that the distance between those C-channel chassis rails likely come VERY close to another popular brand of RC scale truck. If that is the case, you have A LOT of options for aftermarket/aluminum bumpers and accessories.

On one of the videos someone said, "it even has room for a winch", I am hoping what he meant was the front bumper has the holes for mounting a winch.

Just looking at it, the truck meets most of the criteria for a class 2 rig per SORRCA rules. There is no set WB like comp crawling. The biggest thing that might be in question is the O.D. of the wheels, which I think has to be < 4.2".

Class 2 has max tire size of 4.75" or smaller.

I want to know more about this adjustable wheelbase. Also those center shafts look like they mean business.

Would that mean the wheels could extend our width wise or be adjusted the length of the model?

And what would be the benefits for these changes - newbie crawler question

Wheelbase would be length front to back between the tires. It sounds like it's mostly for fitting multiple body styles. A shorter wheelbase is typically better for tight driving. A longer may actually crawl better if it's purely going up and over straight.

I could be wrong but the way im reading the rules if the tire diameter is kept 4.19 or smaller this truck should fit class 1 Would have to be 4and 3/16 or smaller

I believe you are correct, but the gates are a lot narrower in this class, it would never be able to get past a gate without hitting a gate marker.

Gates are a minimum 11" truck is 10" wide leaves 1/2" on each side Even a rc4wd trailfinderii is 8.5" wide dont see why it wouldnt work out unless there were gates down the whole run

In theory, the math works, but in practice you will be hitting a lot of gates in C1. It will be sketchy enough running this in C2, which is my biggest worry about it.

My C1 is 9" wide, and my C2 SCX10 is 9.5" wide. Most gates are not a straight shot, the approach is normally at some goofy angle that makes it difficult to get it lined up and progress cleanly with a regular sized rig.

With that, I would LOVE to see this do well as a C1 rig, nine years of crawling and scale comps tells me that it is too wide to do well.

Nice to see some videos of it.
It seems it have really good speed in high gear, but in low gear, it´s like my old Axial on 2s 35T motor..I think.

Hope Traxxas can release some more info and videos soon.

I am very excited to see the low and hi gear available, remotely wow! This from a guy who has been running a project to turn a Slash 4x4 into a trail crawler, with good and fun success I might add.

But to have both gears avail remotely, and ability to lock or open diffs at will remotely...... Seriously wow! Can't wait!

It looks to have good speed on 3s. I think it'll be a great dual purpose truck for what I want. It does look a little top heavy when tooling around in high gear. But that body can't be light.

I am looking at this as a dual purpose model for me also.

"Looks" so far like it fits the bill.

Need more (good) video footage of it.

I think I see a screw to remove the fake winch. Hopefully they left a clean flat spot underneath to mount a winch. It would be a bonus if it was predrilled. The weird part is the roller/fairlead looks to be molded with the bumper??

I don't see any predrilled holes in the chassis to change the wheelbase? This will be my first scaler/crawler. Maybe I am looking in the wrong place for the adjustment?

I don't know bud. I don't see what I'm imagining that means either.

This would may get a Kershaw Designs brushed motor from me instead of brushless. Currently looking at options. Haha.

Already wondering if we can stuff a 775 in. Lol

I'm planning to get a 3d printer eventually. If I can't mount a winch then I will 3d print my own mount. And probably a bunch of other accessories. And maybe even a garage to store this in.
