My custom built Lego military base

Hey guys, just wanted to show you a few pictures of my Lego special forces compound that I've been working on for the past 6 months. I'm prior service and been a military contractor since 2005 so that's where the idea and inspiration for this came about. The helicopter, LAVs and MRAP were purchased from an online vendor called BattleBrick, everything else was custom built. Every building is modular to where the roof and each floor can be taken off to gain access to the inside. I estimate around 5k pieces.

    Front gate

Maintenance hanger. The roof can be removed and the over head crane on the inside does work. Its holding up the turret of that LAV

    Outside of the chow hall

Every base/FOB needs a chow hall, that's our favorite place to go

Inside look at the arms room

Inside look of the 2nd story to the headquarters building

    View of the barracks

    2nd story of the barracks

A terrorist that was able to infiltrate the base. There are 2 more that are hiding

Yes, this is an Army base and that is a LAV. Looks close enough to be a Stryker. FYI, Rangers and SF have Stryker vehicles, not just conventional units

And of course the pacifists stand outside the gate and protest

Wow that looks amazing. Really good job. I haven't really built legos since I was a kid. Now and than the kids will pull out the legos and want me to help them build stuff.

You don't know if that is a terrorist... It might have just been some guy that found some dynamite and decided he would return it to the base, and did not know where the gate was; and he is all bundled up because he was cold.

You don't know if those are pacifists... Ok, yeah, the fig with the tie-dye shirt and flowers, certainly is a pacifists.

Thank you for your service to our great nation, without the great men and women in our military I don't even want to think where we'd be! I've built some big Legos, but nothing that impressive!! Again thank you for your service.

Lego nowadays offers a great variety of bricks with different colors and shapes. However, real gun replicas are against Lego's policy and are available only from third parties. Understandable.
Nice work on those base, indeed. Now I'm itchy to build a small copy of my workplace
