    Pro-Line Badlands for X-Maxx???

On the X-maxx Facebook page I follow, someone posted a pic a possibly new set of tires from proline. The BadLands. Comments on the post from members who called Pro-line suggest they will be released in the next month or so. No word from Pro-Line yet but...

    Here's the pic.

I just got a set of the v2 wheels and I'm very happy with them. Badlands are great brasher tires. I will get them eventually, but not until I destroy the set I have know. If I'm seeing the specs correct they are very tall and
almost as wide as the stock pair. 8.90" tall 3.82" inches wide.

looks like a stock wheel on the other side. so it most likely is going to be double beadlock.

I like those ones. the ones I picked out already, are basically the same thing, just smaller.

They are super knobby just like the badlands, but made for 1/5th scale trucks like 5t 5sc 5ive dbxl.

That being said I cant wait to see x-maxx badlands on other people's trucks. I bet they will look good. Wanna see some good side by side comparison shots. Would wait to see how people like them before buying anyways, I've seen what these little tires can do, and like what I see.

Matches the CAD render. Hopefully they are meatier than the 1/5th offerings.

I want to see the Xmaxx equivalent of the Emaxx Jumbo Kongs ! They would probably be 12" ... may need to gear down just a bit.

Well BT EMT.... if I can put 5th scale tires on a slash 4x4, you should be able to mount 12inch prius donuts to the x-maxx lol.

    heres the donut lol

I think those are the tires that are in the end of the official proline video: https://youtu.be/60o9rvA4qHY at like 1:15

Maybe go cart tires or smaller riding mower tires. Then the Xmaxx would be unstoppable off road !

They look like bead locks IMO. Either way I'm a little disappointed that they're off road tires, I was hoping for some all terrain tires. Hopefully they're release some X-Maxx sized Trenchers.
Is owning 27 RC's too many? No way!

yup, would have preferred Trenchers hands down. Badlands are ok, but I would have thought the trencher was one of their better selling designs for emaxx/tmaxx revo over badlands.

Trenchers always looked the best, but they make them bigger than the stock revo and e maxx tires so they destroy drivelines, If they made them the same size as the stockers I would buy them all day long. Badlands I use on my revo and love them so far the stock X maxx tires are holding up well and they grip extremely good for stock tires. I wont just go buy a set just to change, the stock tires perform well enough imo.

My take on the stiffer sidewalls and more knobby traction is it will definitely expose how soft the xmaxx suspension is. I think some 1.450 Springs or stiffer will be in line to help keep this beast shiney side up.

I agree they are cool but I really like the v2 traxxas tires. They do it all well. I would be hard pressed to pay up for the proline unless they are stellar. Wonder how heavy?

Pity they couldn't give some real MT options.
Glad I went with the MTXL wheels now.

I had some Plastikote silver, or similar, and sprayed and lacquered them - makes a big difference.

Update on the proline wheel tire combo. Was on the phone with them today and the rep said they were in their final stages of testing. The best I could get was a release date mid April. No part numbers yet but the wheels will be beadlocks. No pre ordering yet but I'm going to keep bugging them.

So far I've had terrible luck with all beadlock tires that I've used. I find the inner rim cuts the side wall of a lot of my tires... let's hope they addressed that in making these

I agree with you and extra wheel weight. They did say they were in final testing. It would be cool to be able to switch the foam out easily for applications. We will see.

They have not finished testing and they don't have a part number yet. Maybe mid April.
