    Lagging in Drive shaft

Purchased a used Slash 4x4 VXL and noticed the drive shaft was lagging at low speeds/crawling speeds. It kind of jitters. I took it to hobby town. They said it may be the pinion, one of the transmissions, or just faulty/old motor. Ideas?

    what do you mean lagging?

there is play in it forward and aft, and a little side to side play as well.....

If you are using a VXL system (brushless), it will not perform well at low speeds. You are likely seeing shuttering in the drive train due to motor cogging, sensorless brushless motors do not do well in low speed, high torque conditions.
