I think you don't need the Castle BEC.. mainly because the traxxas one is good enough for what you get out of it and the Castle one is just a waste of money.

My traxxas bec fried and i had a castle bec laying around and its allready in the truck also wanted to get more out of my svx servo so i set the bec at 6v and ran it to my receiver. But the esc has the bec set at 6v too and the lights use 3v according the traxxas bec. And i need to run the lights from a bec of somesort.

The Traxxas Bec will only do 4.8 or 6 volts, no 3 volt option.

That is a "power supply" special for LEDs, not a BEC. Input comes straight from your battery, output is apparantly 3V.

Bear in mind that you can connect two 3V LEDs in series so that they can take 6V.
