    Smile XMAXX Work stand

    Hi Everyone looking to buy or make a simple work stand for the XMAXX. Any ideas for both?
    Rotation would be good , as i plan to use my work bench as a base. https://traxxas.com/forums/images/icons/icon7.png

    Perhaps something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-Rotatin...1%26rkt%3D1%26

    Mount it on another suitable stand like this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Speaker-St...oAAOSw5cNYbnD4

    Or get something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Keyboard-P...8AAOSwqu9U-JrQ

    I use this. It doesn't rotate but gets the truck up in a working position. I've been thinking about adding a wooden base with a lazy Susan.

    I did add padded foam where the chassis sits and then put black electrical tape over it to so it doesn't rub the paint off and keeps the truck from moving as much. I got this idea from another post I saw online and really works well.

    Does it not work with the X? I thought I seen some members using the same stand?

    There's also that area in "Support" here on site where we can submit ideas.

    I built the PVC stand already. Also I finally went up 2 Depot and picked up that RIGID stand. Imy gonna try and figure out a way 2 make it swivel 360 degrees.

    I purchased this from integy. They are normally $109 but I purchased a scratched one for half price. Really good quality and honestly the scratches are minimal. Good buy if you ask me. I think including shipping I paid around $71

    I bought all the pieces at Home Depot. I found either through here or online the dimensions and pieces needed. Just glued pvc and painted

    I just made mine from some 2x4's. Doesn't spin or anything, but it cradles the truck pretty good.

    I use a kids stool very similar to this for wrenching and storage for both the X and the Summit.

    I'll try and remember to take a pic tonight.

    Here's my custom X-Maxx build on my State of the art stand. I originally bought this for my max trucks back in the day and fabricated a center Alum skid plate on X-Maxx and wow it's Awesome!!

    I originally made that PVC one a long time ago. Here are the dimensions of the pieces:
    Built a work stand for the X Maxx out of 3/4 PVC.

    2= Pre cut "pressure" sections (curved pieces)
    4= 7 and 3/4 inch cross members
    4= 7 inch uprights
    8= elbows
    4= Tee's
    4= 2 in pieces to connect elbows to T sections
    And yes, It works for the 8s version.

    I use a big block of wood or a big icecream box, the cheapest option

    I don't have an xmaxx yet but plastic ammo cans work fairly well for my e-revo.

    I know this thread is a little old but anyone looking for the "pressure pipe" with the dip in it like the stand Vturbo14 has built should look for a "running trap" or sometimes they are called a "inline trap". All the fittings used in it are considered pressure pipe. They're available in 1/2" and 3/4" white PVC.

    These are super cheap with free shipping but not sure if it would hold anything above a stock Xmaxx, but at this price it might be worth a try. It has a 6 inch lifting height and say's it will hold 22 lbs.

    I used some scrap wood and metal bar. 5 mins to hack it together. And cost was free from scraps I had.

    It rotates as well.

    Drilled holes into the wood for the metal bar to sit into.
