Does the 2012 Platinum come with a 4 pole system?

I was looking at the one on tower and according to the box image it says "2012 platinum edition" so I was wondering, maybe they haven't updated it? I just don't want to receive a 2012 truck with a 2 pole system. Thanks!

I think the 4-pole systems from Traxxas were from late 2014.

The box on Tower's website may just be an old picture.
Call them and confirm.

I stand corrected.Went to model showroom at the top of the page.Does indeed come with the four pole Velenion system and no radio gear as zypher mentioned.

Hey y'all, just ordered one through tower. So pumped!

Anyway, I ordered knowing that there was a 1% chance I would get a 2012 model, due to the picture... I called both tower hobbies and Traxxas and neither were completely sure, but I gained some useful information.

The part # for the one on tower hobbies matches the latest platinum slash part number... but it is also the same for the 2012.

Grrrr. Anyway, let's hope for the best!

I ordered my platinum from tower over a year ago, when you could still use a coupon code. That was the best deal ever....anyways mine was a 4 pole.

Exactly. The lady on the other end of the phone could only tell me that the part #s matched.

I also literally tore their website upside down to find their customer service number.

Not to mention I was on hold for 10 minutes and every 30 seconds the music was interrupted by a "please continue to stay on hold" as if they were begging and pleading for my business.

Well I ordered it through my LHS, and as I was asking questions they told me to call tower, and I found out that their mobile site is a wreck! (I had to look it up on my phone)
