    Gearing question...

    Gearing recommendation needed...
    I have a Slash Ultimate 4x4.
Running 2.2/3.0 Proline Slingshot paddles on all 4 corners.
Atomik RC Red 550 7.5T 2650kv Brushless Sensored Motor and Atomik 120A ESC.
Will be running 2s and 3s.
Slash will be mostly running sand drags at the beach.
    What pinion/spur should I run?

The stock gearing would be your best bet, as I have found when running on sand/snow with paddles, a safe gearing is your best bet. You could probably get away with a 15/54 setup, but I wouldn't go higher unless you are willing to sacrifice your electronics.

Make sure you have a temp gun, and if you are running a tall gearing check your motor temps often. I would also reccomend purchasing an esc/motor fan.
    ESC:

    Motor:

    Temp Gun:

    Hope you have fun!

Edit: I just read over the OP again... oops. You don't have the velineon esc. Try a fan like this... they are awesome!

    I got 2 in purple!

My esc already has a fan...and I have a temp gun. I'll have to look...I might have a Castle fan around here somewhere.
    I'll try 13/54...just need to get a 5mm 13t pinion
