    First drone

Just picked up my first drone. I have never flown one before and figured this would be a good on to start with. So far I have two flights in. It's fairly easy to fly but also easy to get away from you. Having a blast learning to fly.

It gets easier the more flight time you get.

    These little guys are fun.

I hope so lol. I try to fly about 6 ft up and just try to fly around. Before I know it I'm 35 ft up and about 50ft away. Time for emergency landing. Lucky I was able to stay out of the trees so far.

10-15ft is a height to start with, still have room to recover if needed.
It takes time to get used to how these move in 3 diamentoins, but once you do it's crazy what you can do with these little quads.

I only fly in expert mode now(even though I'm no expert) and love it, the flips, banks and spins are awesome.

I don't try for 30ft up I just end up there. My altitude control is horrible right now. Can't wait to get out for more practice but it's a little to windy today.

That's the same problem we've had lately, wayyyyyy to much wind.
If I'm lucky I get one flight in right at dark or after if I head down to the shopping center parking lot later, but
even then it's been too windy.

When we first flying it looked like aerial bumper cars crossed with a WWI air battle we crashed so much.

But the skills come rather quickly with some flight time.

I also changed out the rear led lens with red on mine for green front/red rear, and blue front/orange rear for the wife's.
I found it's easier to tell the difference then with the clear lens's.

How well does the led light bar work in bright day light?. I have been thinking about getting one. I never thought about changing the leds in the arms. I'm going to look into that as well.

I let my wife fly it last night. She actually did fairly well. She said she had more fun flying it than driving my cars. I think that's a hint she wants her own now lol. Wonder if she will take a hand me down when I upgrade to a Aton lol.

The lens's are super easy to change out and cheap too($3 for 4).

I had gotten an off brand syma 5c clone to start with as a gift, it didn't take long before my wife was getting more stick time then I was, that's when I bought 2 Ailas's.

Someone recommend a syma 5c to start. I still may get one to fly indoors while the weather is being uncooperative. I know the more I fly the more my wife's gonna bug me for mine.
