Official Traxxas Ford GT Photo Gallery

Welcome to the Official Traxxas Ford GT Photo Gallery. This is a place where you can post your pictures to show off your truck and/or your driving skills. Please read the following guide lines:

This thread is for pictures of your Traxxas Ford GT only. If you have a question for one of the people posting a picture, please send them an e-mail or a PM so the thread does not get filled up with people talking. This is a place for pictures not people asking what body or tires someone is using.
When you post a picture, it would be greatly appreciated of you would post a detailed summary of what hop-ups you had on your vehicle at the time the picture was taken.
Anything off topic will be deleted.
Any dead links will be deleted.

    Number one with a Bullitt...

I've been waiting to drop this on the 4-Tec for months. Say hello to the 1968 Mustang GT. Steve McQueen would approve. I had to lengthen the wheelbase both front and rear and play around with the adjustable mounts, but I got everything to line up and it looks pretty dang scale now.

190mm Corvette CR6 Body. Stock rear wheels are a bit wide so I bought an extra set of fronts and they work perfectly.

Added this to my garage for my birthday. Am now waiting on complete GPM setup and some HR parts. I'm also on the hunt for a spoiler that fits properly.

Found a place to run her last weekend. I dressed her to go out in my 4-tec 3.3's dress, foam shoes and, a 3s lipo. With stock gear and 3s lipo I was only able to do 48mph but i'm not sure if that's because i didn't have enough road or power. I did find a longer road when i left and went around the corner so i hope to try again this weekend. I've also received ceramic bearings, spiral cut gears and everything aluminum except for the HR front chassis brace "not available right now" My plan is to die the chassis black before the aluminum upgrades. I'll post some pics when i'm done. Here's a pic from last weekend. I'll post a video in the video thread. She's kinda ugly but that's ok i didn't take her out to the dance!

My crime scene from last night. This chassis seemed to die faster then my revo. I laid the sticker back on there but i don't want to glue it so i'll take it off. Now i'm ready for reassembly.

I can rebuild her. I have the technology. I can make her better than she was. Better, stronger, faster!
Ok back on planet earth I have her back together after dyeing her chassis black. I'm still missing the unavailable HR front chassis brace, a 55t steel gear and, shock spring kit. All screws with the exception of the servo mounting screws are stainless. The quality of the upgrade parts is excellent. Everything fit great. I was using some traxxas spacers to use the foam tires but they aren't wide enough any more because of the new turn buckle hold down. I will need to get wider spacers in order to install my foam tires. I used some red aluminum spacers and longer screws to raise the battery hold down for some 3s lipo's that i have. I removed the traxxas gps in order to mount the rear tie rod stabilizer. The shocks look ugly so i'll either order a shock spring kit or black shock socks. The one part i forgot was a metal gear kit for the servo so i'm working on that now.

    Installed:
    Traxxas temp and volt sensors
    Traxxas esc fan
    Stainless Screwz
    HR 70t metal spur
    Traxxas spiral diff gear
    Acer Racing Ceramic bearings
    STRC shocks
    Integy battery hold down
    Traxxas driveshaft
    HR spur cover
    GPM aluminum everything else
    HR motor fan
    HR steal diff cups
    GPM cvd axles
    Traxxas swaybars

Just picked one of these up, this thing is gorgeous! Very impressed with the ford GT body.

Immediately ripped out this Titan and XL5, it was way to slow. In with the VXL Brushless and fans are the next thing to install. Planning to dye the chassis and other parts black as well.

Finally had a chance to really beat on the car after putting the 2 pole VXL I had put in the all Graphite 4-Tec that I shelved due to rarity. The J71 took a beating and I had to set the TMS to 50% to keep it from wanting to go sideways all the time and since I was out with a former co-worker and a couple former co-workers of his (he's changing careers next week) and had an absolute blast between bashing this, my temporarily repaired E-Revo, and the Stampede I've had for 20 years now.

BTW, those rocks were ones I dug out of the chassis on lunch today
