Hey guys, since we now have an actual section to talk all about the upcoming TRX-4, I figured we might as well get the ball rolling!
Since I'm an avid die hard Jeep guy, I plan on putting an Axial 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited body on mine. I'll probably get some Pro Line scale BFG KO2's for it, and I'm not sure what I'll do for rims yet. Other than that, I plan on wheeling the heck out of it and improving what ever breaks first if anything.
So what about you guys? What plans do you guy have in mind for your future TRX-4?![]()

I don´t have any plans...yet.
I just want the TRX-4 in my lap. haha
Sold my Axial DingoBingo when I first saw the pics from the toy fair. haha
My friends called me crazy, but hey... I´m soon back in the game, with an even awesomer car.![]()
I think I'll use it to do something I have wanted to do for a while, make a US Navy Chief Petty Officer Tribute RC.

Lights! Around here if you want to go wheeling during the summer you better go at night or you're going to cook.
Planning to add wheel (rock) lights, headlights, tail lights, etc. Want to be able to control them all from the remote. It's nice to be able to turn off the high beams when you're driving back at yourself.
Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt.
Sadly I don't know anything more than anyone else does. I've seen the pictures from the Toy Fair and now the sneak peak but that's about it.
I've been running scale trucks long enough to know just based on the few images we have that I want one really bad.
If there are not light buckets I'll make my own. You can do a lot with some styrene plastic and a Dremel tool.

I plan on putting this Jeep body on it. I made it as a shelf body for my P4de.

Haha! I don't plan on arming mine for marine warfare, although it probably will have a couple rifles in a rack in the window.
Winches are neat but I'm not that into scale. I'll totally go pick up my truck and move it over to get back to wheeling more quickly. For me a winch would just be more of a talking point than anything I'm likely to use.

I'm probably gonna put my new TRx-4 on display than playing it![]()

Have a nice day! :)
I feel however that after looking into the pictures, It might need a little more weight in the front for crawling up steeper hills. Possibly? Haven't actually held one so I'm not sure.
If you ain't getting dirty, you ain't having fun.
Leaving it stock and beating the crap out of it.
I just got a chance to get hands on with the new Pro Line Ultra Reservoir Shocks, and wow, they're probably the best feeling shocks I've ever had a chance to feel, so depending on what the TRX-4's shocks are like, I'll most likely put a set of the Pro Line's on mine.

The real question: will those shocks give you $200 worth of performance improvement? For that you could get enough battery to run all day, a big assortment of scale accessories or even a "down payment" on another model.

My plans are to save up again for this thing. Got tired of waiting and purchased something else and looking for money. But I think I'm looking for money in all the wrong places. That's ok gives me time to read all your reviews on this thing.
I might go with some LouiseRC wheels, weighted, and the new Proline -66 Chevy C10 body when we get them over to Sweden. =)
I think the land rover body looks good but I will probably put a pickup body on it with a scale futurline bed on it ( I'm also a mechanical designer at futurline truck equipment) maybe I'll even put some of the toolboxes that I design on it.

This will TOTALLY work, saw a guy on YouTube do it
My curiosity is how it will crawl against the known players. Wraith, SCX 10, rock Rey , even a Komodo.
Traxxas usually does good homework so I'm optimistic. I don't care for tiny 1.9 tires, as I prefer 2.2, so wheel and tire upgrades will be coming

PRO MT Yeti 4x4
Just a guess here, but I think they made it to Class 2 specifications, which has a max ID tire size of 1.9". Going up any larger would put it in Class 3, where it would not be competitive at all. Of course, outside of competition you can put any tire size you want on it.

I will have to check the rules, but I don't think there is a max WB. A longer WB really helps for climbing, but is a killer when trying to maneuver in tight spots.
For comp crawling, 12.5" is the max WB for the 2.2 class (sportsman and pro).

I have a set of blue aluminum 2.2 beadlocks with swampers that I've been waiting to use for years. Lol. So I'm sure they will wind up on it. It'll likely get my mamba monster x and one of my sensored motors.
I think a long term goal will be mamba x and the sensored 2400 motor.
I'll probably put a lexan body on and that may be about it. Some suspension tweaking and fine tuning.
Wheel weights also. Definitely. I have an assortment of crawler tires on 1.9, 2.2, and sct wheels. I'll play with sever options and tire sizes. It looks like if I go too large it'll be too narrow.

I'm surprised they don't have the TRX-4 up in the product section. Where did you guys Order it?

Ahh... Okay. That's strange though that Traxxas doesn't have it up in the products yet.
