saw this gem on another forum.
two guys have an x-maxx on the counter, trying to program it or update the firmware or something, it decides to make a spirited exit stage right. imagine if it would have stayed full throttle.
please disconnect the motor wires or take the pinion off or take the tires off before doing this. personally I always take the tires off. like when I power on an RTR or a new esc the first time, especially something with huge tires. if it is set wrong and goes WOT, I don't want to wrestle it with pizza cutters spinning in my face.

Something similar happened to me the other day. I took mine to work and while I was mounting the body back on a coworker decided to grab the remote and squeezed the throttle. I got a tire rash on my arm from where it decided to climb my arm. Needless to say I was less than pleased and had some forum unfriendly things to say.

Looks like the guy with transmitter in hand hits the 70/30 switch

This truck is way to big to be careless like that with. Way to dangerous.

Good work isn't cheap, cheap work isn't good
remember: RC cars are not "toys". what we all have in common here is a passion for a rather demanding highly technical hobby. one of the first "rc lessons" my father gave me when i was a kid: ALWAYS remove the tires when you are manipulating the electronics. its even super bad when a 10th scaler goes wild in your hobby room or even worse outside... where maybe kids are around etc.. no to speak of a beast like the x maxx going out of control.

I have now watched that vid 187 times. I like trying to figure each item that went flying off the counter. The barcode scanner stand may be the distance winner.
