    How many channels

Personally my first plan is to rip the stock radio out and put my graupner in. Will 4 channels be enough?

Good question, I was wondering that myself.

It has to have at least five channels:
    1- Steering
    2- Throttle
    3- Two-speed transmission
    4- Front diff
    5- Back diff

I am looking at upgrading my DX3R to a DX5R, but I will be wanting a winch on it, so that brings the count up to 6 channels. I could run it with my DX6e, or just keep the back diff locked and use that channel for the winch.

Unless the diffs worked on a controller that split one channel into multiple signals. Something like what the arrma Nero has.

Isn't the summit using a module to control 2 diffs on 1 channel?

It looks like it will be using the Summit radio system. The three way switch on top technically makes it a 5 channel however. I'm less I'm missing something, it sure look to be the same.

That's was on the AM version. The new summit and trx4 will come with a 4 channel.

I will only have 4 channels. I guess I'm have to get lucky, creative, or sacrifice some features.

The cruise control is actual controlled off of the multi function knob.
