Angry hinge-pins backing out of the A-arms

hey guys, I'm sure this has been covered but I can't find it in the search (too many near results). but the rear hinge pins on both my stampede and slash 2wd keep backing out. I read that glue does not help. I see some possible solutions on google to where you replace the screw with a nut and bolt type. I usually only buy from www.rcplanet.com/ but I don't see my solution there.

the pins now back out after running a single pack. Its annoying and seem to be common.

also can anyone recommend another online vendor to buy all my parts from?

edit: I think this is what I need

    thanks

towerhobbies.com and amazon.com are where I get most of my parts. If the link doesn't work, go to towerhobbies.com and in the search bar type in "slash 2wd strc". The hinge pins should be the first thing that comes up. I have them for my son's slash and don't have 1 complaint. He had the same issue your having before I got the STRC pins.

    Edit:
Rc planet has them too but they are more expensive than tower.

thanks very much. Its weird that this problem only started happening after a few months. I guess it all loosens up and wears out. ohh well.

Put the stock pins in the opposite side of the arms on the ones that are coming out.

Are both sides backing out or just one? If one, then install it on the other side of the arm (you may need to remove the transmission to do so).
I had the issue and screwed it in from the opposite direction. Then when I did the winter break maintenance I bought the STRC hinge pins.

Yes, on the ones that are coming out. Works like a charm. They are backing out with the suspension movement.

When installing the STRC pins I had to clean up the plastic slots with a drill bit. I've forgotten the correct size. And if you use a drill be very careful and go very slowly. Only a single rotation or two is all you'll need.

I have just been re-tightening them when they back out... This has also striped a set of button heads that hold some of the chassis together.... I may look into a nut and bolt set if I have to take everything apart again...
