I just got mine yesterday and am very impressed with it.

I ordered the official light kit, as well as ordered SPTST8290 aluminum motor mount, and a 550 passive cooling fin for the motor. I also got a 9-tooth pinion gear.

This gives me some good cheap upgrade and performance for crawling. (the lights were for fun)

went out and ran at a friends house.

    The Prep:

Slash 4x4, TRX-4, X-Maxx, cheapie fpv racing drone.

    The Bash

another x-maxx and sash 2wd and slash 4x4

Picked up a set of proline beadlock's. it has plastic rims, metal beadlocks, and some proline moab tires. 50g weighted each tire... they added some serious heft to the rig lol

good nice day crawling thru a strawberry patch.

With the weather being as nice as it was this weekend we had to take advantage of it obviously. This might be our last adventure out on the trails anyway. But it was a great way to unwind for the day cuz I sure needed it after everything I've been through this last month.

And the week before I managed to at least get my new servo put on. But I probably need to sit down one day and installing a bec. It was good to finally get the first upgrade on that truck though.

    Hey Everyone...

I am a straight newbie at everything RC. But I purchased a TRX-4 and a battery. I actually bought a battery charger for a quad I also just purchased. After charging the battery I took it rock crawling in the rain for a few hours. Totally hooked.

After watching a few video's and reading a recent RC Gear Guide, I have purchased MFR brass portals, and the Traxxas LED light package.

I am also on a waiting list for a RC4WD metal front bumper and waiting on a metal rear bumper. Then I plan to purchase a Power HD waterproof steering servo with a water proof CC BEC. After that new wheels and tires, Vanquish 1.9 and Pit Bulls with Beef Tubes.

Finally, I want to work on a new body.

First time out of the garden with my TRX 4 Tactical. Took it away for the weekend to Hampshire. Had a lot of fun on Keyhaven beach, very rocky and a good couple of slopes to climb. Sadly no pics as I was having too much fun The TRX managed slopes that I struggled to climb on foot. I only got through 1 2s pack due to the freezing cold wind and my wife was sat in the car... On a side note, my son has a cheap WLToys 12428. Awesome car for 50 and managed quite a few of the slopes that the TRX did! He loved it, I can feel something better coming on for him soon

Today's I used a Sharpe to out line my next TRX 4 cuts. And also cut the bumpers on mold line which I think looks much more Aggressive.

Finished this guy up..... still need to add stickers though. Next step is new bumpers, and make wheel wells. Hate being able to look right through it. For now i just flipped the front bunker mount and removed the rear bumper and side rock sliders.

Stopped lurking to register and respond to this! I will be getting a TRX-4 kit as soon as I can sell enough of my unused planes and other stuff around the house to fund it. Looking to go with the Proline Jeep Rubicon Unlimited body.

Anyways - it's easy to waterproof any servo. You just need some Corrosion-X. You can find it here: https://www.amazon.com/Corrosion-X-9...ds=corrosion+x

I've done float plane servos (Emax ES08s, to be exact, so smaller than the 2065s). Just remove the screws, shoot all the bits inside with Corrosion X, and it'll run underwater. If you want to see it in action the Flite Test guys did a video running the entire power system for a plane in an aquarium. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4z8QMgTEA4
