I would honestly go in the neighbor hood of 19/86 or 21/86 with 48p gears or 13/54 with 32p. It's what I run at my local track and it works good.

Definitely go brushless if the class allows.I am running an 8.5 in my ScMod and am geared at 22/87 using a slipper conversion.
I am also using STRC shock bodies with TLR blue buggy springs front and silver truck springs in the rear with 40wt front and 45 rear.
This works real well for me.

My Hobby Stock is a 13.5 and that is a really fun class. It shares the same setup.Your actual spring selection may be different depending on your personal preference in handling.

What shock piston would help ( flow more or less ) 1,2, or 3 hole piston ???? I believe there is 3 hole piston in it now.
