    Post Motor is not in contact with gear...

    The motor works, but the motor won't spin the gear...

    Did you open the gear cover plate, to inspect it?

    So are you saying ( I THINK )
    The pinion on the motor does not contact spur gear ????
    A little more info would be HELP FULL
