    RC model for young kids

Which Traxxas model would be best for an 8 yo girl and 4 yo boy, Slash 2wd/Rustler/Bandit all brushed versions? With no RC experience

    Thanks,
    Clayton

Maybe a LaTrax because they are slower and cheaper to fix

Really I would show them the models and let them choose. All of them can be put in training mode to slow them down, and if that isn't slow enough, put in a smaller pinion gear (or larger spur). But, I am thinking the 8 y/o will be ready for full power in no time at all.

I was thinking just buying 2 Slash 2wd so that extra parts can be used interchangeably.

I almost think Traxxas is maybe fading out the 1/16 models. My LHS said some 1/16 parts are getting hard to find.

You can't go wrong with any of traxxas stuff really. Lots of parts out there especially aftermarket. Good customer service traxxas has to back up with. Plus you can put them in training mode too

I will say that I've owned many of every 2wd traxxas 10th scales. The slash xl5 is the most durable of all the brushed trucks due to the smaller tires and covered wheel wells 8)

The Slash will take the most abuse simply because the wheels are tucked behind the bumper. And of course parts are readily available at most shops.
