Receiver Not Enough Power for Fan

So I just picked up a cooling fan for my motor. When I plug it in the receiver for power, it seems like it isn't getting much voltage. Any ideas on what I should do? I know the fan is capable of doing higher RPM's than what it is...

Any ideas on what I should do to improve the fan speed? Any setups you guys recommend? Thank you!

External BEC will likely be your best answer. Recommend the Castle Creations BEC, its voltage is adjustable. Just wiring it in on the ESC side of the battery connector, set the voltage and plug it in to the fan directly.

What brand of fan did you buy? Some fans need to be run continuously for fifteen minutes to properly operate.

Sorry I misunderstood you. Where would the BEC plug into?

Edit: Nevermind. I understand... Thanks for your reply!

Yes you were right. After about 10 min, the fan was running at max speed.

Happy to be of service! I am happy that you got the fan working correctly
