So tested the boat trailer I built today and had an issue I was hoping to get some ideas on how to solve the problem.
Bank had a slight slope to it and with trailer in the water enough to float the boat out I let off throttle to neutral on tx. Immediately it started rolling back in to water. I need a way to set a emergency, aka parking brake while launching boat in to water and sitting there while in bring it in and load it up. Im willing to sacrifice one of the diff lock servos to make the brake idea work. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
It was nice because i was able to use prop to get boat slid all the way up on trailer and in low slowly pulled boat out without it slipping off. Before trailer Id get shoes all muddy stepping down on mud at waters edge.

Perhaps the brake from a nitro slash/slayer? On the drive shaft.
I had a nitro revo and thought about that. Im assuming your referring to center drive, but there no place on chassis to set it up. I wonder if i could modify tranny case or spur cover and attach to spur or something in tranny. Ill have to look at those specific models and see if they are different from nitro revo I had...

Set the multi function knob to throttle trim.
Add a little forward trim to offset the weight of the trailer is the easiest way I can think of.

I know one solution to your problem. Get a Hobbywing system. Most hobbywing systems, or possibly all, have a lot of different settings, including a drag break setting. Set drag break to 100% and you'll be fine.
Doesn't need to be fancy. Just needs to run.
If you, or anyone else who don't know what a drag brake is, its a certain amount of brake force(wether it be 25% or 100%) that is applied whenever the throttle goes into the neutral zone.

Im very familiar with, I use it on my speed runner for speed runs. I dont generally care for it to be enabled because of liking the free roll in my bashers when going in to turns on runs. However in this case being its a rock climber or boat hauler i can see it being very useful in rock climbing as well as boat hauling. Ty another excellent idea.
I still would prefer to leave drag brake off and using multifunction knob as throttle trim because its adjustable on the fly.
Hey wait... can the multi knob be used for setting drag brake? Can any one direct me on how to set that up?

Yes the drag brake idea is good. I think briber said he had a tiken motor and ESC. Under my knowledge I believe tiken has some kind of castle link software too. Only one problem, 100% drag brake may get annoying for everyday driving.

Hmm, can't currently think of any other solutions right now. I don't think that there is a way to connect the drag brake to the multifunction knob.

Well thats a bummer. Yes I have mmx and Tekin 2200kv.

oh you have a momba monster x so you can just buy the castle link. I know its $20 for a usb but its good in the long run.

I have a program card and castle link and know how to set drag brake, however I dont want drag the brake on constantly.
My first choice would be to turn it on when on the slope and back off once boat is loaded and hauled on to level ground through the tx somehow.
If theres no way to do that then second choice would be to use multi knob to control throttle trim.
Third choice would be to use one of the diff lock servos to engage some type of e-brake on drive shafts, tranny gears or some other way.
If I had to use it I guess I could set it before heading to pond but I actually use Summit to haul it through woods so idk if I want on so it stops every time I let off throttle as I navigate trails.

So looking at at tx menu tree I found that you can change multi knob to 5 different things, one of them being throttle trim! Woohoo, that should work for holding it while boat launches from trailer!

good idea. but I thought the multifunction knob controlled the steering sensitivity.
