It does replace the aluminum one and isn't used with the center diff.

Got the rear end almost stripped down and cleaned. Bagging the different parts with their screws.Disassembling the MiP rear axles was no fun lol. Lots of sand. I like the simplicity of the Teknos I have on front. Looks like this will be a nice fall project. I may be avoiding sandy beaches from now on. Lol
Sure is! All the bearings so far in the rear hub carrier and diff need replaced. The ones in the hubs I did last winter I think. Diffs.. they’re the originals and the truck will be 3 next May. Oops. Lol
I won’t be playing in sand again until it’s time for a strip down. Sheesh.
Time to pick out some some bearings and seals.
