    Fiberglass Replacement Hull for Spartan

Hi folks, new here, and new to RC boats as well. Have some limited experience with airplanes some years ago, but this is my first boat. Enjoying the Spartan experience, it's a fine boat. The running gear is first rate but truthfully I'm not a fan of the plastic hull. I see there are aftermarket hulls available close to the same specs. As anyone done this successfully? It doesn't seem to be too difficult, in my mind anyway, to fit the tray and drive system to a comparable fiberglass V hull . .

Check out Off Shore Electric. https://www.offshoreelectrics.com
They have anything and everything rc boat wise.

My suggestion would be a TFL Pursuit. About same size as Spartan. OSE will also sell you the Pursuit in carbon fiber.

My 1st boats were m41's but I quickly ditched them in favor of manufacturers only doing boats.

If you don't mind waiting check out AliExpress. It's a Chinese store like Bangood. I ordered my cf Zonda from a seller off there.

I might get the carbon fiber version of the Pursuit? I went to OSE and it's unfortunately not being offered anymore. That's recent, like past day or so recent.
But for the cost I might just buy the rtr and gut it to add carbon fiber inlays.
Look at all that Grim Racer aluminum on the back and for $270 shipped to US, great value here.

Then this is OSE's hull selection. Quite a bit sold out but they had a big sale over the past week so that might be why?

That pursuit looks nice, but I don't need the hardware. I've already upgraded Hot Racing parts on the Spartan, dual cooling rudder, trim tabs and blades. The Delta Force 41 from Offshore is really nice, a bit longer and wider too, 41 x 12 inches. That appeals to me. On 6s the Spartan can be a little squirrely, a larger and slightly heavier hull might be just right . .

You know, I may be rethinking this move . . Been doing a lot of high speed stunt practice lately, weaving in and around pilings, running close to the dock and a quick turn spray Just generally having fun!
That ABS hull is tough, it's taken some abuse, scrapes and bumps and so far held together well. I might be reluctant to run it like this with an expensive hull and a shiny gel coat finish . .
