The new LED light kit from Traxxas is finally here!

    https://m.traxxas.com/news/new-product/trx4-led-lights

I am sure it will take some time before it reaches Europe so I will be looking forward to hear some feedback from the first lucky owners on how it performs before I get my own hands on it ;o)

There are loads of youtube video's covering the fitting etc but no mention of if they can be controlled/turn on off with the hand set ??

There is no controller with this kit. The lights are on all the time. There is a brightness switch HI/LO on the light bar.

Really happy with the kit overall. Installation was pretty simple and am very pleased with the output. Especially the light bar on high, it's almost blinding. The rock lights are also really nice. I was skeptical about them at first but they really help navigating in the dark. The wire that plugs into the power module is too small a gauge for my taste. I worry it will break too easily, will have to be careful with it.

I wouldn't let that stop you. It's easy and inexpensive to add a switch. There's really almost nothing you cannot do with a TRX-4 and a little ingenuity.

I should correct that and say that they are on all the time once you switch on the ESC. If you switch the ESC off, the lights go off as well even with the battery still connected.

Is there a video on youtube of this kit? I like to see all the functions in action, like left/right signal, break and reverse

The one thing missing is a 5-LED bar in the front bumper. It's a perfect fit in the gap below the winch. It illuminates the area that would otherwise be in shadow from the hood.

The yellow lights on the front are nice to have not only White.

If you want to do it right the install indeed takes some time, but it’s worth it!

Extra attention is required with the tiny hex bolts in the headlight units, they are super tight and strip very easily (which happened with one in my case).

Ordered new ones, but it will take some time to get here... thankfully managed to get it out with side cutters and needle nose pliers and re-tighten it...

The yellow lights indeed make it look extra cool, but the rock lights I think are the most brilliant... the TRX-4 just looks awesome in the dark with that glow underneath!

Darn! That happened to me too for the screw in one the light in the back of the truck, it's still loose because is striped at half of it's lenght, I dont want to get it out as I dont have any replacement screw and don't
want to order a full kit just for one, I think I will glue it in place.

Same here, when I was installing my PowerShift RC Tech light kit for the TRX-4. One of the screws on a small piece that helps support the rear bezel, and that bolts into/through where the side exo-cage support would be. It really stripped way too easily. I put it back in the best it will go and just left it.
    Seems to be fine.

I want to get the rock lights and the light bar kits to add to my TRX-4.

If you follow all the cables, they are all ok ? there is no cables that are squeezed between a screw and plastic ?

The Traxxas Power module delivers a regulated 3V output, with 0.5 amp current.

I like the lightbar can be switched in a high and low power position, and even the rocklights fit on my project Unimog.
