X-MAXX as my first RC Truck?

I'm a long time RC airplane and helicopter flyer looking for my first RC truck. I have driven several of my friend's RC cars and trucks in the past. Though I have never really taken much of a look at the mechanical characteristics of RC trucks. However, I don't believe that performing maintenance and repairs on an RC truck will be that large of a learning curve (maybe I'm wrong) given my mechanical experience with RC helicopters. Anyway, what do you all think? X-MAXX as my first RC truck?

    I couldn’t agree more!
I have an Erevo brushless, Losi SCTE, Losi Ten T, Nitro slash, Nitro Mugen 1/8th scale, and a Tmaxx. The X-Maxx is by far my favorite!

I just got back into the hobby after my 8 year old expressed interest. In 3 months I’ve picked up an erbe and an Xmaxx. I’ve beat them both up and torn them both down. Xmaxx wins the fun factor and ease of wrenching on hands down. Best money I’ve ever spent on a “toy.” Do it, you won’t regret it!

Yes, only if you get the 8S version. After that buy an XO-1 and you will not need any other RC surface vehicles.
