You either need to replace your gearset or the whole servo. If you replace the servo, savox makes a nice metal gear upgrade to keep this from happening again.

Reich is right. Go with the savox metal gear servo upgrade.

Hit up your LHS, and get the 2082 replacement gear set. $5.

Then, consider upgrading later if you want to get on the road quicker.

Admittedly... I'm in a similar boat to you. I bought a whole new 2080 servo thinking I'd ruined the first. Nope.

So... I now installed both and am running dual servos. We'll see if that fixes the issue in the long run.

I'd rather not have to plastic dip a replacement to get it to be water resistant when the 2080 is actually water proof.

So... dual servos were screwing up my ESC. Don't do that.

I have had excellence results with the hitec servos for the merv:

    5085mg, 82mg or 85mg

I definitely recommend a single (quality) servo over dual servos. They fight against each other on the 1/16 platform, and a single one has all the torque you need. A single servo also saves you weight, improving the overall handling of the car.
