    Hi all.

Is this motor a good choice for the Stampede 4x4? I can get it cheap, second hand from a friend.

I will sell the Velineon set.

Im looking for more power, speed and torque.

Its an 1/8th scale motor, so if its power you want, power you shall get.

Just make sure its a legit one, too many clones being sold to unsuspecting buyers or that that cheap buy is exactly what you'll get.

If you have the money, I would definitely get that.

Just be prepared for stripped gears and broken diffs and driveshafts. Also make sure to run it on 3s, because 2s isn't enough for that motor at all.

I would consider the 1415 2400kv motor. It requires less modification to fit in to the Stampede 4x4, and is just as powerful as the 1512. The 1415 has more in common with the 1515.

Same power? You sure. The 2400 is not rated to push around vehicles as heavy as the 2650 can. I'm just thinking out loud though. Not saying that either is not overkill

Iíve only had good experiences with the 2400. In my p4de Iíve hit almost 80 with this motor and temps are low. Have some mod 1 gears on the way

I'm in no way saying it's not sweet. Just not as powerful as the 2650. My pede gets unruly at 45. But it's an MT. Got the Rustler for a speed fix.

I'm running a 4300kv 550 in mine and it flies on 2s ...on 3s it's nuts ...also temperature is way below 140F on motor running 11/54 gearing .

    I'm running 3660 2600kv. Fast on 3S and nuts on 4. I personally don't see a need for anything more..........yet

The 2650 is more powerful than the 2400. Not a huge difference, but it's definitely more powerful, I'd say about 20%. The 2400 is strong enough to make your Pede reach crazy speeds. The 2650 just makes it reach even more crazy speeds

Personnelly I am looking to get the CC Mamba X Pro and 1410 3800 combo for my Pede. Should be more than enough power for bashing around.

If you run more than 2S it'll get hot. I went with a lower kv motor. More torque, and voltage and gearing options.

My pede is a backslash truggy conversion. It is lowered and has many many mods. It handles very well even at high speeds.

11/54 on 3s now running hobbywing SC8 ESC and 4300kv 550 and after bashing in the rain with electronic cover , fan on motor I was not even hitting 100F on motor ,ESC was at 104F so I could easily gear up but as it is it's stupid fast.
True lower kv less heat but I have not have any issues as of yet .

Cool. Glad to hear it. Probably pretty fast how it is now.

Yes, this is a good motor. You'll need to grind down the chassis in a few spots to make it fit. You'll likely also need to get creative with mounting the ESC as this motor is longer than stock.
