Revo shocks: Traxxas variations and ebay brands?
In my current project (slash 2wd) I plan to lower it with Revo shocks, thought you guys might have the best info. My question is: Is there a noticeable difference between Traxxas brand Revo shocks and the aluminum versions you can find on eBay as far as quality/durability? Would it be viable to get a set of non Traxxas shocks for their looks, or are they just shiny knockoff garbage?
Also is there a difference between the Traxxas Revo types (grey body vs red body vs blue body)?
Thank you!

The problems I see with aftermarket shocks is parts. If you need a seals, ends (some are still plastic) etc. you mostly have to buy a hole shock if they still make them any more. The springs that come with may or may not be interchangeable with Traxxas type springs so you're stuck with one spring rate.
They're all GTR shocks, just different colors.

Very good point, didn’t think about that.
