I'm not bashing the Outcast, but I would wait until you see the new E-Revo before considering ANYTHING else.

As someone who doesn't actually own a Revo, I am pretty excited about this. I have been actively trying to find a new one or a decent used one since before Christmas. I hope the new one is beast mode, just hope they don't go crazy with the price point.

I was wondering the same thing because hobby town shows the ERBE available 1/22/18 (which is doubtful if these rumors are true), but the E Maxx is showing available 3/1/18. I wouldn't be surprised if the erevo and emaxx both get some upgrades.

Well, my LHS got off the phone with Traxxas and this is what they had to say. Completely new Revo from Bumper to Bumper, x-maxx clamshell-style differentials, stronger a arms and a new ESC based off the X-Maxx limited to 6s and the same 2200kv castle motor but they will look the same from 10 feet apart. Supposed to ship next month! I've got mine on reserve already, this is going to be an epic truck ladies and gentlemen.

So same size as erevo? Any indication of price point? $799?

If thats all it is, Ill just keep my Summit/Revo truck and wait on the TRX4 bronco

Local hobby shop ordered a whole box of the new Erevo. It’s supposed to come out the end of February. They were also told, that no parts of the new and old are interchangeable, and that it shares some parts with the xmaxx(?!). Maybe diffs? Reason they told him is because half of his shop is Traxxas parts for Revo.... now he needs to make room again as the current Revo sells/sold like hotcakes. Also, new Revo is supposed to be only $50.- more than the old/current version.....

I like the new tires.. and I see very little change. I really hope it's a beefed up drive train! Bigger bearings in axle carriers and way bigger diffs

Well, it looks like you could just replace the new body mounting system with the normal body posts, so running your old body will be EASY

(there goes that excuse to keep your wallet closed

You can, it says old body can be mounted with the new xmaxx style mount system. Which is great for people who have a few bodies. I hate body clips!! The Xmaxx is a dream to own!! It's about time the erevo is getting updated, this should have been done years ago!

Thanks for that, now I have no excuse! I've already locked one up with my LHS. He's ordered three, ones his, ones mine and the third I'm sure won't last long. As soon as it arrives I'll have a test drive that day!
