Slipper clutch and Spur gear upgrade for Roller Chassis

    Hi there,

I just got myself a cheap Slash 2WD Roller but it does't include the 'Spur Gear or Slipper Clutch'.

I am comfortable with installing the electronics and all the rest, but have never pulled apart a slipper clutch before (nor put one back together).

I was wondering if it was worth upgrading the Slipper Clutch and Spur Gear while I have the chance, without replacing the whole transmission. Or do I just go stock Slash parts?

It is still in the post so I haven't seen it as of yet.

The stock parts work and are very inexpensive. I'd start with that.

What input shaft does the truck have? There are a few aftermarket ones out there and two different TRX ones. You will need to know to get the right slipper.
    TRX:
    Old style hex shaped shaft
New style pin and round shaft
    Aftermarket:
"AE" style two flat sides on round shaft.
