Big motor top speed

I know there are a couple threads here about speed runs, but I can't find anything specific to guys that run the big motors, like Leopard or Castle. I'm curious what kind of top speeds you get with those motors on 8s. And what pinion/spur gear combos do you use?
With my current combo of 32/46 gearing, my 1090kv on 8s goes 52mph.

I’m running the Leopard 58113 V2 1050KV on 8s with 35/50 gearing and it’s too fast. So fast that it flips over backwards from air getting trapped under the body creating a parachute effect. And that is with throttle to spare! It must be doing 70-80mph easy.
I just ordered a 32t pinion and I’m going to change the spur to 54t. Hopefully that will slow it down enough to keep it on the ground!

With your 54/29 setup going 85 kmh (52.7mph) You & I would have a good race!

That's crazy! Either the 58113 motor is alot more powerful than the 5892, or I'm doing something wrong.

I run a Leopard 1340kv, updated Castle XLX-1, 54 spur, 29 pinion and 6s. I get 50 plus mph.
