    Rally to Slash

Does anyone have the parts list required to throw a Slash body on the Rally? I looked around and there seems to be some differing opinions. To me, it looks like I need Slash body posts, front and rear bumpers and iím good? Would just like the ability to go back and forth and get more use out of the rig. Have a nice short course track 5 mins from my house. Rally body/clearance just isnít gonna work on those jumps.

Front and Rear Bumper, Front and Rear body posts is all it takes. Track is a little narrower than a Slash on the new Rally since it utilizes the Telluride arms, so if you use a SC body, the tires will be pretty tucked in. I didn't want to dick with putting Slash arms on since I still plan on using it as a Rally as well, and Slash arms would conversely have the wheels sticking out quite a bit with the Rally body. Simple Solution: I ordered a Proline Baja Bug body since it's narrower and even with the Telluride arms on the new Slash, the wheels will appear stanced out from the "fenders".

So, I got the Rally to "Slash" conversion done. Turned out pretty sweet. As I mentioned earlier, with the new 1/10 Rally using Telluride arms, a SC body wasn't really an option because the wheels are tucked in way too far. The Proline Baja Bug worked out great. I've uploaded the photos to Flicker if anyone wants to check it out. I have it from clear body and mocked up all the way to completion. The wheels stick out just far enough to look aggressive, but still some protection with the fenders.

Yep - That's all I really run any more is 3s. Hard to say, it's been way to wet, cold and snowy here to do any real testing.

Converting a Rally to a Slash works incredibly well for the track. If that rally body is going to have difficulty on the jumps you might want to invest in a chassis brace.
    Guess who's back.

Which wing is that, and how did you mount it?

First off the Bug looks great! I made the same conversion myself a few months back but ran into a couple a problems. How were you able to fix the ride height when you have it as a slash? Also I am finally going to convert to monster slash with an 1/8 scale motor and ESC any parts I should make sure I change before I drop the motor in?

I don't quite understand the arms thing.
I bough a Rally when they first came out but have since changed it to the pro-track arms; thing is my 4wd arms and Rally arms are both the exact same 100mm's in length; I just measured them again to make sure I was making a proper statement.
Is the difference you speak of with the Telluride arms something Traxxas did after releasing the first Rally's.
I did notice in your post you said "new Rally's".

Also a bit curious as to why the Rally says 11.7" wheel track while the 4wd slash say's 11.65".
Very little I know but less for the rig with the claimed longer armes; I'm sure the rims could make that difference as well.
Heck I still have those on a shelf, they never even hit the ground before being removed.

I think that things got confused as the post I believe is referring to the small 1/16 or 1/18 telluride and not the 1/10 rally.

I bought the Brian Deagan rally. I race it on outdoor clay oval. all i did was put slash a arms fron n rear and the axles front n rear. left the rally front bumper on and made a square piece with small body posts mounted on the rear shock tower. run it in the class nastruck. man its durable as all can be. nailed the wall many times, flippped through the infield many a times. still going strong, all stock !!!!!
Sometimes you have to turn right to go left !!
