Official Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer Photo Gallery

Welcome to the Official Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer Photo Gallery. This is a place where you can post your pictures to show off your truck and/or your driving skills. Please read the following guide lines:

This thread is for pictures of your Traxxas UDR only. If you have a question for one of the people posting a picture, please send them an e-mail or a PM so the thread does not get filled up with people talking. This is a place for pictures not people asking what body or tires someone is using.
When you post a picture, it would be greatly appreciated of you would post a detailed summary of what hop-ups you had on your vehicle at the time the picture was taken.
Anything off topic will be deleted.
Any dead links will be deleted.

I ended up selling my UDR in favor of a Losi SRR but that truck was frustrating to keep up with repairs and reliability issues. The Super Rock Rey is a fast imposing 8S monster but just isn't built strong enough to cope with its own weight. Too many breakages when it crashes and tumbles.

I then found a super cheap UDR which is basically a rolling shell, no motor or electronics. The previous owner had stripped all the gear out for a custom build he was doing. So I bought it to put on display.
Buying that prompted me to buy another functioning UDR so I got a Fox livery version. Decided for now that I'll run the UDR on 4S only in an effort to keep drivetrain wear and crash damage to a minimum. Hopefully that idea works. It's still plenty quick enough and more controllable in my opinion.

I did buy two sets of the window nets but the seller only sent one by mistake so I fitted it to the display truck. the other is on its way. Also I had purchased the number plate wings for my original UDR but never got round to fitting them. So I fitted them to the display truck. I think it suites it nicely. Also pictured is my son's Slash 2WD.

Here is a photo of my current progress on fully GPM upgrading my traxxas UDR. Any ideas of what else I should get.
