I’ll be getting one for sure I was outta the hobby for the past year I owned every traxxas besides the recent releases in the past year and yesterday I went to get an xmaxx and boy am I glad I backed out because I’ve been waiting years for this things axials score was cool but it didn’t hold a light to bashing and I bet I had $1500 in that thing but coming back to the hobby and with this not being to bad on the bank I might be ordering this and the new e Revo and I’m a sucker for fox had a race atv set up with fox and 2017 Silverado lifted with fox shocks so this new toy will fit right in ��

I'm on the fence. It'll be tough choosing between this and the erevo 2.0. Especially with the substantial price difference.

I also wonder if it would be worthwhile for me to own over a slash 4x4. I am not sure the solid rear axle is incentive enough to have this vs a slash. A slash can hold plenty enough power for me, and this isn't a great deal larger. Decisions decisions. I have an x Maxx now so maybe neither. Lol

Since seeing the E-revo 2.0 pics, its hard to say which to get.

My Local Hobbystore said they will be taken pre-orders at the end of the month, and if the E-Revo hasn't had an official release date set by then, I will be pre-ordering the UDR and picking it up.....first.....then E-Revo 2.0.

After buying the X-maxx (6s) upon release, i think i will let everyone else be the guinea pig this time. I want to see how the electrics work out, and if I have to fear them the way I did with the 6s and 8s Traxxas ESC's (non-castle variants), that i had in my Xmaxx. This is probably worth more buying it piece by piece since none of my cars stay stock.

Not sure.... Been into crawling more and more and already have plenty of bash vehicles. Excited to see it but will probably be a year before any new purchases.
Furthermore I spent all my dough finishing the basement this winter. The RC room is going to be sicc tho.

I have my mine pre ordered !!!. Can't wait to get my hands on this baby!! The scale detail is amazing. My LHS Pete Russell's Hobbies in Elkhart IN will have the demo models for everyone to check out at the end of the month. I will post pictures when they arrive.

I talked with a customer service agent at Traxxas and he told me this is an updated ESC with on board telemetry. There is no way Traxxas would put out another problematic ESC. I am confident they got this one right. Just make sure your gearing is not to high for the local conditions and you wont have any problems with a Traxxas ESC. I run a 6S and 8S X Maxx and have no problems with either ESC EVER!

It. Looks. Incredible. However, is it just me, or is the motor seem a little underpowered for the size? The XO-1 is 1/7th scale, and it runs a motor similar to the Castle 1717. The motor on the UDR looks like a slightly beefed up Castle 1515. Yes, the XO-1 is designed to go 100mph, but

I highly doubt they thought any of the previous escs would be problematic.

Just had a vxl-8s crap out on me, definitely hope they got it right this time.

Id love to get one but 800$ US seems like a lot.. I'll wait and see.

I see Traxxas usually has a slightly higher MSRP listed than when a retailer actually gets them for sale. IE: I see the TRX4 for sale for $479.99 at the Traxxas site, but available at any online retailer for $449.99.

Maybe the truck will be more in the $750 range when it gets out there?

the map on the UDR is 750 so depending on the shop (brick and mortar) you might even see it for less than that

The super baja rey is 800$US for pre-order on amain so im guessing the UDR will be around that..

map is minimum advertised price. that is the lowest price traxxas will allow you to advertise as a reseller

i have one on order also, our track is going to be racing a class of them this summer. i just picked up a gopro hero 6 for it, planning on mounting it in the cab. i think it will be cool filming the race from that perspective.
