Have you decided which bumper you're going to buy?
Mine is a T-Bone Bastion made for the Typhon.

I drilled it and reshaped it to fit and function how I wanted it.

Squeegie - this build is absolutely unbelievable!!! I can't even imagine how much work you've put into this beauty!
It looks like an on road beast! Maybe you can do more than just speed runs...
If you add a front spoiler maybe you could pass a few touring cars
Guess who's back.
Back again.
I have one in my parts bin that can easily be made to fit... just in case!

The aluminum front Hinge-Pin Block was in my parts bin...
I think it came from my STRC e-Buggy conversion kit.
Sorry, but I don't think STRC sells it by itself.
Your rig looks much better now without the Slash front bumper on it!

Thanks Squeegie, I added some stampede lower skids and started shaping a rear bumper as well. The car hauls on the dirt and grass so well with the new shoes.

I approve of the P40 WarHawk theme you have going on there!

Hi Squeegie,
I have few questions that I thought you would be able to answer best with respect to your build.
1. Driveshafts:
I like the Tekno M6 cvd that you are using on your build but will they hold up with the Mamba Monster X and Castel creations 1515-2200kv sensored brushless motor?
Is MIP X-duty CVD kit a better option in terms of durability?
2. ESC
Did you have any problems with the MMX esc and the CC1515 combo? Is this a good combo to buy?
I am looking to buy the best adaptable combo for both speed and bashing when required.
3. Receiver Location:
From your experience, if I buy a motor mount to place the motor in center above the driveshaft itself then do I still need to replace the radio box location or will the esc and radio box both for comfortably in the original space?
4. Tires/Speed
Did you tape the Proline prime tires that is seen on your build?
Do they start ballooning at high speeds?
What speeds were you able to comfortably drive the car at with the proline prime tires?
Also, do the 2.8 wheels/tires heat up the motor due to their size and added rotation mass?
I have started conversion already ans this is where I stand for now but will have a custom painted body too at a later stage.
Note: The body is not mounted yet. I will need to trim it down to mount it properly.

1. My basher has MIPs, but since this one is a street rig, I thought I'd give the lighter axles a try. I have not had a problem yet, but I have not really given it full speed runs yet. I've been way to busy the past few months. I will go back to MIP if/when my Tekno's give out.
2. My trusty MMX and 2200kV sensored system is in my basher. No problems so far with my good 'ol MM2 and 2200kV non-sensored system. This build will get my Tekin RX8 Gen3 with 2250kV T8 Gen2 and Hotwore 3.0 sensored system once I have time to solder all my systems and batteries to convert them to CC 6.5 connectors.
3. I have not tried a center motor mount yet, but I do have some in my parts bin. Test fit and see. It may work for yours since your body sits higher then mine. With the center motor mount on, I doubt you can run this body. Why? you would have to run dual external battery trays.
4. Yes, my Primes are taped. I have not done a full speed run yet and have no idea what it will do at speed. I have had them on my basher before and ran then in the low 40mph range and they were fine. For now, my Slyphon has my 2.8 G-Locs on them and look great. Have not run them, but I love the way they look on the rig... more to scale (but probably speed reduced due to smaller diameter). I'll try and take a pic with them on later. I also have BSR team purple foams for it if I get the need for speed. I also have some GRP rubber for it, but not done with it yet...
Your rig looks nice so far. Keep it up and us posted!![]()

OK, took some shots with the 2.8 G-Locs on it as promised:

Dang a dang dang Squeegie! That is sweet. Looks like a 100 mph+ rig to me. Nice job! I liked the other tires too. Gave it a meaner look.![]()

I say it every time Squeegie, but dang, that looks amazing dude.
Another job well done.

I likkee!

Will do... but I don't know when that would be.
This is a street rig, not a speed rig... for now.

Home Depot... but you have to make it.
I used a piece of 3" diameter black PVC pipe.![]()

I ended up heating my front bumper and curling it over kind of like a buggy front bumper. I’ll get pics later. It works well with the buggy setup. Mine isn’t as nice as the one above that’s for sure!!
What is the Wing Model on the RC?
Welcome to the Traxxas forums!
That is the wing for the Arrma Typhon (see post #1 for the list of parts in this build):

This thing is a beast. Where did you got the front shock tower cover piece from? or did you custom make it?
Look at post #102 above for your answer.![]()

I looked through the first post and couldn’t find any info. There might have been something in the thread. My apologies if this has already been discussed:
Which pure teach battery strap fits the battery tray? Small, medium, or large?
I cant take measurements right now and I would love to order one.
I have their "medium" straps in both of my rigs.

Sorry if this has been ask but what are the Hot Racing 17mm adapter offsets: Are the 6mm or 10mm?
I have the 10mm offset adapters on this build.

Every time I come to this thread. I have to look at the beginning to catch a glimpse of Burning Chrome. That is one sweet machine. Looks mean with those slickety slicks on it.![]()
Choose Life !!!
I use 3S and 4S LiPos and the medium straps work for me.
