I was able to run my rig today , half way thru the battery - snapped a front axle with the Vitavon aluminum wheels on it . replaced axle and then using the Kyosho wheels and tires . They hook up better than stock , but as someone had mentioned , they strip pretty easily ! Solution : glue the wheel to the brake rotor / hub = no more problems !!!!

Do you satisfied with new sway bar? Mine has been broken, so I want to install gpm sway bar too.

The stock rear sway bay does nothing, the front does barely anything at all. I'm curious to how this GPM sway bar kit improves the trucks handling.
Then again, simply running it on 4S has made a noticeable difference to the handling.

I broke the front sway bar and the car began to roll over while cornering almost every corner especially on pavement.

Finally fitted aluminium trailing arms, though I hadn't broken a plastic one yet but one side is bending and slowly getting worse.

Broke the front right lower a arm jumping off a 5 foot dock. Day two of having the beast. 6s makes it dance on the line of catastrophic failure, luckily its engineered with break points. I've considered AL replacements but I'm afraid they will just transfer the force to something else that will be more expensive to fix.

Diffs are growling. I love the sound but I'm sure it needs more grease in the boxes. Also adjusted the shocks, was belly smacking on low jumps. Oh and repainted the body

Installed the light kit yesterday and an OBA system today (I need a batt to power it though, 3.3v I believe).

replaced the steering servo saver again on #2- 2nd or 3rd time now
going to order aluminum servo saver next time
they don't break just wear out= sloppy steering
    new front axles on both
1 million weight diff lock in the front and rear diffs is good
    all bearings cleaned and lubed

    test it again

Can anyone post a video how the upgraded front sway bar works. According to the pictures gpm sway is too thick and may be to stiff. On the other hand original front sway bar doesn't work good because it is very soft.

I know this isnít the right place but Iíve been online for the last 3 hours looking for info until I made this account to make this post but I just recently bought a udr last week On Thursday and today driving it I noticed itís drifting off to the left when the trim is at 0 and for me to make it go somewhat straight I need to adjust the trim quite a bit to the right so with that said what can I do to fix this and would this be a servo problem

Yeah, this question should have been a new thread, so maybe copy and paste your question into a new thread.

Anyway, it could be several things.

1st: what's your TSM knob on your radio set at? Try increasing (turning clockwise) your TSM setting and that might solve your problem.

2nd: could be an incorrectly installed servo horn. Shouldn't be that way from the factory, but mistakes happen. You'd need to remove your servo horn from the steering servo, adjust the trim knob to center and re-install the horn so that the wheels are straight. This assumes you're still running the stock (solid plastic) steering links.

3rd: could be a faulty servo, but that is unlikely UNLESS you've crashed it hard, hitting the front wheels on something. A hard hit to the wheel can strip teeth off of the gears inside your servo, making it act funny.

4th: anything outside of these options is above my pay grade, and will need an answer from someone else.

My $0.02 .. be careful with GPM parts. I have not heard good things about them and because of that, I moved to HR.

Installed front and rear Hot Racing sway bars. Super easy to install. They are quite a bit stiffer the stock. I'm questioning whether the stock ones did much or anything after bench test.

Still waiting on a few upgrades to arrive before I'll run her 100%. For now, 4s/training mode and learning the basics of her handling Loving the Rigid body so much, even the wifey approves of it and says it's cute haha.

I was going to wait for a few more upgrade/scale parts to arrive before I drive her...But I couldn't wait anymore so I decided to break her in!.
Had a blast! This thing is a beast even for 4s, and 4s is plenty of power for me already. I like driving it scale and 90% of the time i was only on half throttle. 6s for me would be overkill. Also clocked her at 32mph on full send, exactly as advertised! Very happy with my purchase indeed! I thought there was going to be huge learning curve when you drive this but within 5 minutes I was drifting in the desert like a pro, Don't like TSM so I had it down, and guess what, no rollovers like you see in most youtube videos! It's manufactured scale, tuned to handle like scale, and its meant to be driven scale. scale scale scale scale scale

Yeah man, you hit the "scail" on the head.

I've raced bigger, faster vehicles which were driven like bashers, and repeatedly ended up on their roofs giving the race over to me. Real off-road terrain will do that to you.

I just plugged along, driving the truck within its limits, kept it on the wheels and finished easily ahead of the bashers.

Sure they had moments where they got in the lead, like a smooth straight away or by sending huge jumps to flat. But they didn't win the race overall, just like out in the desert.

Race against the desert, and you might beat the other trucks doing so. Race against the other trucks, and you'll lose to the desert.

Bro that's deep. Im gonna turn that into a sticker and put it on my UDR's rooftop
I love it man, wish I purchased more batteries though lol. Only had about 30 minutes of runtime and it died when I was about 1/2 mile away from my car, so I had to carry this heavy beast lol. But my batteries were also brand new. I heard after about 5 charge cycles the batteries will be on their prime?
Now I just gotta learn how to paint the scale accessories it came with.

Cleaning and trying to smooth out the rough texture of these parts lol. Any body else's UDR look like this after 4 runs? haha
I'm scared that driveshaft will just snap one day. I don't bash, I'm only on stock gearing and only run 4s. Vegas terrain is harsh. You guys think aluminum parts will hold better?

After installing your Hot Racing servo saver was your steering a little bit sloppy??? After installing mine I almost took it back apart cause I thought something was loose. Come to find out Hot Racing just has crap tolerances. Before I had no wheel play and now I get at least a 1/16th of an inch from each way.

Another user had similar gripes about some HR parts for the front end of his UDR.

I've found HR's stuff to be about 50 / 50. Half of the time their parts are a real upgrade which benefits performance. Half of the time it's poorly made junk dressed up in nice colors.

Unfortunately the only way I know of to tell the difference is the hard way. Buy it, try it and hope you don't regret it.

HR's sway bars for the UDR are nice pieces that really help the truck's performance.
