    8s x maxx fans are shot , stock or aftermarket

    so one of my 8s x maxx fans has stopped working and the other is missing two blades . So do i go with stock again or aftermarket ? im all stock except for the bl5 esc.

    I’m using 30mm Yeah Racing fans they move a ton more air but require mounting modification. They’re loud as well. I’m happy with the change and kind of like the noise.

    A lot of times you can clean those fans with contact cleaner, blow dry with 15 psi compressed air, and then power up and lube with a little silicon spray. I do all mine that way, and I've had most of my fans (from my other trucks) for years.
