    Battery Holder

Hey guys, just upgraded my motor/ESC and went to 3s from 2s.
Problem now is the 3s battery is much higher than the 2s and I can't use the stock battery holder plate that slides in over the battery, the battery's are too high.
I've seen people mention velcro before, do I just cut slits into the base of the body and wrap the velcro around the battery to hold it in place, 2 straps?
Or is there another way to secure the battery?

They also make a battery extender kit that looks and works the same as the stock version, just taller.

I'm pretty sure you have an lcg chassis, battery exspansion kit is part #7426x. If it is the hcg it's part #5827x.

You cauld always make your own. A few wheel nuts under the plastic holders will raise them up. Other than that your fellow forum members have given you the numbers for the Traxxas parts.

i bought some velcro battery strap tie downs (think it was for a heli) cost like 5 bucks, i have a LCG and i removed both black rectangular ends of the battery holder system (not the clip but the parts that the strap clips in to) i then sandwiched the velcro under the black rectangular ends and reattached the screws and tightened everything down....works amazing, way better then stock and no cutting of the tray required...super simple

like this guys...not mine but someone from the forum

Better late than never but I did order one of those Velcro battery holders from AMain.
I did buy the proper Traxxas bigger battery holder and use a foam block on top of my 2s batteries but I'm thinking the velcro will work easier with both 2s and 3s.
    Thanks for the tip.
