    2 x Savox 1210SG BEC?

    Hi Guys,

Would running 2 x Savox 1210SG servos require a BEC so as not to overload the standard Traxxas Erevo 2.0 ESC?

    Just curious ;-)

    Cheers,

    Phil.

Should be fine per what the specs are @ 6vdc and 10amps (20a peak). This should provide plenty of amperage for both servos. Voltage is good @ 6vdc, but some servos can or do require the use of 7.4vdc to get the full amount of torque and speed. Your Savox servos are most likely rated at 4.8vdc and 6vdc so it should be fine.

I will say, vxl 6s has a fantastic BEC. Mxl 6s BEC can barely power my 0231’s (I’m not sure if it’s a MMM or MM2) but it’s just barely able to do it. If you swap esc and want Mamba Monster it’ll have to be an X. But then again, if you like stock esc, keep it!

I realize this is an old thread but just thought I should add some info. The Sav÷x 1210 pulls 6A max @6v. Two 1210s would then pull 12A, well within the 20A max if the ESCs BEC. 2x20kg should suffice for the E Revo. I have one 1210 @7.4v where it has 32kg of torque on a Thunder Tiger ST4 G3 and it is great. I use two Sav÷x SW-0231MG in my E Revo but will probably upgrade to two 1210 if they die.
