    Talking Lipo charger

Is there a such thing as dummy proof charger for lipos? Like set it and forget it? Which charger has the safest charging without needing to know how to change the settings etc for safe charging?

The traxxas ID charger is pretty idiot proof. It also doesn't tell you much about what's going on or anything about the packs. Also isn't very high capacity.

The newer one with bluetooth can tell you a lot more though, or just ignore that info and let it do it's thing. I had the older one that maxed out at 2x4A or 8A for a single, I think it was anyway.

The newer one has a higher charge rate 13.4A x 2 or 26A x 1, which is great for higher capacity packs and 3s/4s packs, ez-peak live dual - $200:

The cheaper single port one does 12A, ez-peak live $100:

    I had this originally, ez-peak dual ID - $100:

Took too long to charge the 9000mah 2S packs I was running at the time and I ended up replacing it with a dynamite 4x100w/4x10A charger that I still use now as my main charger.

    There's also a single port 4A - $50:

My quad was ~$200 and $40 or so for extra balance boards, extension cables, battery adapters.

I have the ez peak Dual. Has worked great for a year and more. just get a voltage and cell meter and you are good to go. Traxxas batteries are high dollar though. I don't hear many complaints on the dual but see many about the ez peak live. Both are plug and play. Not plug and forget... The dual only charges up to 3s in case you want to know. I had to buy a new one for my 4s batteries. Fairly nice charger. Hi Tec X2 AC plus. Also has DC charge

for anyone that knows. all i have ever run were traxxas. wooo hoooau I am part of the SMC family...... Yeppers! Yowza!

I use the ez peak Dual as well. It seems to do the job. But my traxxas batteries are starting to puff up on me.

Bump charger by REvolextrix. You have to buy these tabs that you put on the battery and then touch to the bump chagrer and brings up all the info and you just let it go. However you do have to setup the settings and progrm them the first time.
