    savox servo

Gonna change the servo out what one do you guys recon to pick. Savox Sc-1256tg or the SV 1270tg. Not sure if it needs the big torque of the 1270 or the 1256 will do the job. Its only 10.00 in the difference

some people posted that the SV-1270TG, 1256TG, 0251, and 1210 WP fit perfectly, no dremel work

    in here, https://forums.traxxas.com/showthrea...r-on-first-run

0231MG and 1283SG are too big

I went with the Savox 1270tg, it’s direct fit.

Between the 1270 and 1256; I like the 1270 because it can support 7.4v if you run it with a BEC. Running on the 1270 at 7.4v is over 200oz/in more torque and faster.

I put the 1270 in mine and its great. Its a little smaller than the original but only by a few mm. I know a lot of people use the 1256 and have great luck. for $10 i think its worth the extra 90oz of torque. either way you are getting at least 2x torque and more importantly a more reliable servo.
I'm the reason why we can't have nice things!

Try without you'll see. You should be fine. The 6S ESC seems great in that regard.

SC-1256TG in my truck and no issues at all. Direct bolt in and has 2x torque as stock one.

I have the SC-1256TG in mine as well. Plug-n-play. Having an issue with servo twitching when the TSM is on, but I think that's an anomaly with my truck.

I ordered a 1256TG today. It cant hurt to have the extra torque and improved response.

How does Traxxas warranty the servo? Do they send parts, or take the defective servo back and send a new one?

i had some where they requested all my electronics (esc, radio, servo, motor for a runaway slash), and other times they just sent replacements.

think it depends on issue and who the tech is that you are speaking with.

1256 Installed in mine. Miles better. Felt i could control the truck far better with it installed too. Must be a combo of strength/Speed over stock one.

I spoke to Traxxas support and they will send me a new servo. I will try the Savox too. The Traxxas servo seems well built and I would just as soon stay stock, but I dont want to keep losing the servo either. Hopefully they have the issue sorted now and I will get a unit that is good to go. I will post an update later.

Traxxas support was excellent, no wait, straight to the point and no hassle. Exactly how it should be, and great. Good job again Traxxas.
