Not even listed on their website, at least that I could find. This is definitely the nicest light bar I have seen for the UDR.

I like how they are controllable thorough the smartphone app. Very trick capability Traxxas has developed with their architecture. I look forward to see what else they do with it!

Very nice! Does this mean you need the bluetooth link to use it?

I found one website that had -8 in stock but 20 more expected on 12-31-2099 lol

I am definitely getting this with the new body.
I'm the reason why we can't have nice things!

Just ordered mine from RCHobbyExplosion.com. HobbyZone.com has them too.

I didnt check to see if it is OK that I posted hobby store names, but I listed two, and I am affiliated with neither of them. They are the only places I found who is showing them as in stock.

$149 it seems with free shipping. Seems reasonable given the prices I have seen for other light bars that dont have the cool control capabilities, like forward and reverse brake sensing so brakes light in both cases, high/low beams, nice tight integrated fit, front bumper light (havent seen this anywhere else yet), and amplifier to light them all without flickering/dimming.....or so says the nice description at the hobby shop web page. I intend to find out!

Needless to say, I would have to spend some serious time to make such a nicely integrated/operational unit. Cost is fair I think.

Website says Preorder. You sure they're shipping already? If so, cool!

Just ordered one from my local hobby shop, Cant wait to replace my convoluted setup with something that just bolts on. From what it looks like the button can switch between different settings. And the bluetooth setup allows for fine control of the different lights. But I wonder if their is a way to still power this if you no longer have the stock ESC

I installed it last night. Straight forward, easy install, as you can imagine. Nice, bright, high/low beams. Brake light function works great as advertised. If I have one complaint, it is that the specified cut you make in the front grill to clear the lights makes sliding the body on and off much harder. (unless I have done something wrong)

The front lights are nested far enough back from the front bumpers that they should be fine in many end-overs. If you endover directly onto a rock/brach/etc, the front lights may not be long for this world! They look awesome though.

Also, for routing the front light wires, I removed a screw that holds the front upper bumper to the chassis, and it exposes a small slot that is nice sized for routing the wires. This way they are not routed over the top of the front chassis bars, instead protected nicely within the chassis.

Once I get imgur set up I will post some pictures.

    Installed. Pretty cool. Looks good.

I didn't want to take over the thread with pictures, so I posted them here in my thread:

    https://forums.traxxas.com/showthrea...-Fox-UDR/page2

I could not figure out where to adjust the lights through the app. But honestly I prefer them in the low beam setting. The rears are on and the lights are plenty bright. The high beams are very bright. So not really planning to shuffle through the modes, so not a big deal.

One note: I trimmed the openings in the front and rear a little short and used a file to get them flush with the lights. Added a few minutes to the install but worth it so the lines are nice and clean.

Would this work on the X-Maxx with a VXL-8S?
Pretty sure it also has the connector on the ESC.

Just wanted to report that I have on at least two occasions accelerated rapidly into brick and granite curb (not intentionally) and have not seen any damage to the front LED lights. The bumper does a great job protecting them apparently.

Will also add....HOLY COW THESE THINGS ARE BRIGHT.....especially in high beam mode. Brake light works great too. All around a nice product.....just wish wires were sleeved and the connectors a bit more rugged.

I think you would have a bit of an adapter to make as obviously this is perfectly tailored to the UDR and its integral mounting points. I'd love to see what you come up with though, and the lights are definitely worth the effort as they are super bright and nicely controlled with the Traxxas hardware. Competition has a high bar to clear!

Do you know what voltage specs the led bars and amplifier are? This might give me an idea if they would work on an 8s setup.
How many volts supply the amplifier on the UDR?
I'm tossing up whether to buy a UDR kit or sit and wait to see what traxxas does. You'd think they would bring something out for their flagship model

Also would you be able to give me dimensions of each light bar. I could mock it up against my X-Maxx body to see would it fit neatly on it. Thanks

short bar housings are a hair under 4 inches long (3.95) and about .43 inches thick. 4.2 inches hole to hole.

long bar is ~8 inches long, same thickness. Probably 8.2 inches hole to hole, but this bar has a slight curve to it that matches windshield, maybe 0.25" of curve mid-span.

Let me know if you need more accurate info.

Took a bit of a nose dive and 4 of the LED's on the lower front bar stopped working. I noticed sand is making it behind the lens and when it landed it crushed the 4 LED's. I am going to try putting a thin bead of RTV silicone around the lens to try and keep any grains of sand out.

    Bummer!
