Traxxas Funny Car Dragster Conversion
What's up everyone! Not sure how many people still run these things but I still enjoy mine! I cut up a spare chassis a few months ago to extend it and make a Traxxas Dragster. I just made a video talking a little bit about it and fixing an issue I had with the steering. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Why use a long rod going to s steering block? Why not use a servo mounted right up front ? Just s thought. Nice build keep it up! Let see some times soon!

Thanks! Hoping to run it this week sometime. I thought about mounting the servo up front but the wires aren't long enough and I had trouble with the stock servo horn/servo saver when running it as a funny car. This set up gets rid of that problem.

Small update on the dragster. I was able to get some test runs in yesterday on only 2s since my 3s won't be in till next week. I was also only able to run 100ft since I was limited on shut down area. Still had a blast and got a few good passes in. I hope to have the video done sometime early next week and will post here when it's up. I have a feeling it will be short since the runtime I got out of the 2s wasn't that great but it'll be fun. Hoping to do some more testing when I get the 3s in next week

Finally got the video of the first test session done! This test was only done on 2s so that I could get a feel for what the car was going to do and work out any bugs. I was also only able to run 100ft instead of 132ft because of limited space. I figured 100ft is a 1/10 scale 1000ft so technically I was running the right distance. Anyway, hope you enjoy! I plan on getting out and running it on 3s this week and see how fast I can get this thing to go!

Well I got to run it on 3s today. And actually had a little more room so I ran 132ft. I found out the hard way I didn't have enough shut down area. Slammed into a dumpster and broke the wing and a front suspension arm. I won't be able to make another video till probably next week since I only got 2 runs in. I'll try to get some video on the repairs too
