My very first run on the beast.
Holy moly! This things got some power! Like a lot. It was hard to get more video by myself but I'll get some when the kids get home from school.

I just got my 50t spur today. Probably put it on this week. Working on getting a belt drive for it.

So I haven't had a whole bunch of time to mess or drive this lately. Mostly just a couple runs up and down the street. I did take it to the skate park, and of course I popped a cap on my esc.
Also got my belt drive in the mail so while I remount my esc I'll put that on.
    The belt drive

The way I had it mounted so far forward and up high I landed on the nose of the body and the mount came back and hit the cap

Well may I say I told you so, about the mounting. Must have been quite an impact.

Got the belt drive in and all set up.
I cut out the receiver box and moved my esc down and mounted.

Oakvads not so waterproof ground up Xmaxx rebuild

Looks cool. Iím interested to see how you like it on the ground. Other than being neat, would you think thereís a benefit? Why ditch the brace and battery hold downs? What about moisture? Probably too many questions for a work in progress.

Lol. The sound itself is worth it! It's so much smoother and quieter.
The brace is just off while I work on it and the battery hold downs are junk, I hated them. Just driving on the street doing wheelies they would pop off with frame flex. I'll stay away from water for now. I live in Wyoming so we don't have any anyway! Lol
Eventually I'll put a receiver box in it when I figure out where I'd like to

It does sound neat, just know others that have done it have some issues under power. I do agree about the battery hold downs. Iím digging your project. Nice to see another ground up build

Im on 3 other groups including the Maxx belt drive group, and haven't heard of one single issue yet. But, if there's gonna be an issue I guarantee I'll have it! Lol
I can't wait to get out and do some major bashing with it. Im planning on some speed runs this afternoon. I'll try and post up some videos tonight.

Well.... Got about a 45 second run on the belt drive and the esc finally gave out. Oh well! Waiting for my replacement now.
This thing is so darn smooth. I love it already!
