1934 ford body on rustler vxl

hi i am new to rc cars and i found a 1934 ford truck body and want to get into rc cars. i went to the local hobby shop and talked to them. they say for me to get a rustler vxl. i put my body on the car but the body pins are to wide for the 34 hood. i like the brushless low-cg car but i dont know how i would get that body to fit onto the car. i would like to be able to use the stock body or if i find a new body to be able to use that if i want to switch but i really like the 34 truck body. any ideas on how i can get that body to fit?

any help for a newbie would be great

Welcome to the forum. Really no way to tell unless you upload some pictures.

Proline offers a wide range of body mounts. Maybe you could get one to work for you.

and i seen this today but it is a stampede the monster truck i think it is to tall for me

even if i have to do raised body mounts to get the shell on that would be fine with the smaller profile frame of the rustler vxl.
i want brushless and with the new traxxas 2.4 radio link so i can do long range fpv.

if there is another model i should look at please let me know i will look into that proline body mounts and see if that will help.
my concerns are that the rustler has 2 front body mounts that are like 4inches apart and i need something like 1or 2 to have it work with the 34 ford hood. the other thing that is not that big of a deal i think is the single rear mount. the only thing i will have in the back is a velcroed on 1s lipo to power my fpc cam on the hood. but this made lead to bad shakes to the go pro on the roof of the truck do to lack of rear support.

You could try P/N 3619 I just a mod with these on my grandsons Stampede so he can switch between the normal Stampede bodies and the Skully body. The front posts can turn in for a narrower fit or out for stock bodies and easy to raise or lower front and back.

Yep, Rain is correct. Part#3619 should fix your issue all around. I actually use them to mount a Rustler body on my Stampede.
