I would turn this thing into a truggy. This would handle so much better then my Stampede shapeshifter truggy did since it has the lcg chassis on it

People have been asking for that for many years! I have to admit, it looks good! I would have all of the Ultimate edition upgrade parts on it

The LCG chassis looks like it makes it more stable than the Stampede 4x4. I am curious as to if it is the same length

If memory serves, I believe the Stampede is a 10.6" wheelbase.

    The Stampede 4x4's wheelbase is 275mm (10.83").

It says that the new Rusty 4x4 LCG chassis has been lengthened 20mm.
    The Rusty 2WD's wheelbase is 289mm (11.38").
I guess that would make the new 4x4 one 309mm (12.17").

    That makes it almost a Slash 4x4 LCG's wheelbase... 324mm (12.75")!

    Looks like fun!

Thanks for the clarification on that. I really couldn't remember specifically what the wheelbase was on the P4de.

I think the ďrustler 4x4Ē is a misnomer. It seems more like a real 1/10 scale e Revo where the normal model is 1/8 scale

Nevermind what I said about the wheelbase... it is 295mm (11.62").

And the inboard shocks as well. Donít think the rustler is setup this way at all. Itís like what someone said above a few posts, itís a slash 4x4 LCG chassis without nerd bars and a few other things that are new. I like the look of it for sure. If the price point is right I see them selling quite a few of these. Time will tell. They appear to be a solid stadium type truck that handles well, jumps well, and should be easy to work on with the chassis design and layout. May have to put some loot away for one myself but will wait for pricing and such as like many, i will want to change out motor and ESC combo. These are JMHOís. Have a great Labor Day weekend to All!!

Man! The gearing options for the Rustler sounds amazing! I have never seen a Velineon motor geared like that and live.

When I said the rustler is like a 1/10 e Revo I should have been more clear. I meant it in the way that the 1/10 scale slash is like the 1/16 scale slash. Very different trucks but have the same functions. The rustler 4x4 even has self righting!

Below is a spec comparison of the new Rustler 4x4 with similar Traxxas cars (all specs are directly from Traxxas web site)

    • The Slash 4x4 Ultimate LCG weight is listed incorrectly on Traxxas site (I don't know a correct number)
    • The ground clerance of the Rustler 4x4 likely uses a different measurement than the others

Got to see a Rustler 4x4 today in the hobby shop. Less impressive than I expected.
    I'll certainly be saving my money for a e-Revo 2.0 or X-Maxx

I was expecting the wheels/tires to be larger I guess....

    I already have 2 Slash 4x4s.
I don't really have any reason to get one (other then wanting one).

    Maybe it's time for a 4-Tec 2.0... drifter?

I know I would by the Rusty. I think my rides will be sufficient though. Should be! As much money I have put out. Guess we all know it's part of the hobby.

Might get one but will be a good while. Doubt it though. Sure I will favor the slash. Black n White was perfect the other night.

I would buy one of these and turn it into a truggy to race against the Tekno et410s at my local track. I enjoy being the underdog. I did the same thing with my slash 4 x 4, beating the local Tekno and Losi trucks. People get very upset when they find out they got beat by a Traxxas truck.
